It didn't take long for a cab to arrive, and once it did they both pilled in.
It was 11:00 pm and the journey back was quite, Joe admired London's nightlife whilst Dianne admired something else... She knew it was wrong since she had a boyfriend, but there was something about Joe which enticed her, however, she could see he didn't feel the same way.
She knew Joe was acting distant, but little did she know it was his way of covering up a little crush he had recently developed.
Joe had realized that he wasn't actually afraid of Dianne, he was afraid of the feelings he had towards her. He couldn't help but feel guilty, knowing she had a boyfriend. Was inviting her over really the best idea after identifying his feelings?
They jumped out of the cab, and Joe lead the redhead towards his apartment, opening the door and letting her walk into the lounge.
"Thanks Joe, this really means a lot"
Joe blushed, still hesitant to make eye contact with the flame, he mutters a simple "glad I could help".
Mustering up some courage Joe brought Dianne one of his shirts. "Here you go" he says whilst placing the top down on the sofa, for her to sleep in, "you can take my bed, I'll take the sofa".
"No, I couldn't. You have your bed ill sleep on the sofa, you have done enough by letting me stay here".
"night Joe, thank you so much again"
"Its ok, night Di"
Dianne kisses Joe on the cheek and smiles softly. Joe turned the light off and wanders into the bedroom.
Joe's POV
I jump into bed and quickly checks my phone before turning off for the night. Suddenly I focus on a newspaper title...
Dianne dismisses boyfriends and spends the night at dance partners house.
I sit bolt upright, feeling incredibly guilty and a little sick. Thoughts were rushing through my head, I've let Dianne down big time.
All I wanted to do was curl up in a ball and fall asleep, I just wanted it to be a bad dream, however, I knew the right thing to do would be to tell Dianne *gulp*.
I walked into the lounge, expecting to have to wake Dianne, but much to my surprise I found her crying on the sofa...
"Di! What's wrong?" I gasp, sitting on the sofa by her, placing my arm around her shoulder.
"Its just....just that" she tries to contain her sobs, "My boyfriend broke up with me..." She buries herself in my chest and cries out. I do my best to console her, gently rubbing her back."He said...he said it was something to do with a newspaper article..."
I lean back slightly, feeling more nauseous by the second, what have I done, I through my head back and take a deep breath.
Dianne's POV
"Can I sleep in your bed with you tonight? I didn't want to be alone." Dianne sobs.
"Yeah, yeah, of course," Joe responds, thinking it was the least he could do...
They stroll into Joe's room and jump into his bed, Dianne curls up next to Joe and closes her eyes. She was emotionally drained however she felt restless.
Joe too felt unable to sleep, knowing there was the beautiful, who he secretly liked by his side...
30 Minutes had passed and Dianne knew Joe was awake, he was stroking he head and placed his arm around her waist thinking she was asleep. Little did he know, she was far from! She reaches her arm around his waist and intertwines her legs with his, smiling up at him letting him know that she was awake.
Joe grinned and let Dianne make the first moves, bearing in mind she had only just broken up with her boyfriend.
Joe put some soft music on, 'Rainbow Connection' and let things slowly escalate.
Boy were they glad they didn't have to start training till later the next day...
