Emerson

"When we get in there, it'll probably be packed so just stay with someone you know okay?" Ethan ordered. I rolled my eyes and stepped out of the car. I adjusted my shirt and glanced up at the house.

It was some seniors house that I don't care to know. I began to walk up the stairs, Ethan and Eve directly behind me and Maddi is already at the door.

We walk in and I am instantly bombarded by hundreds of students screaming. I duck and cover, quickly running to the kitchen. I moved my feet as fast as I can, almost tripping in the process.

I found the kitchen and grabbed a cup off the counter. I reached for the vodka, but got cut off by someone's hand around my arm.

"I hope you're not thinking about drinking tonight..." Ethan says, taking the cup away from me. I rolled my eyes and quickly grabbed it back.

"So what if I am... You are." I argue. He grunts and crosses his arms.

"It's different..." He grumbled.

"How so?" I asked, crossing my arms in a mocking way.

"I...You're..... Ugh fine... ONE drink." He says, pouring me a glass. I nodded at him and took the drink. He walked away, making his way towards Maddi.

"Well, well, well... look who it is..." I feel myself cringe as the familiar voice sent shivers down my spine. I slowly turned around and came face to with him.

Nathan Parker. Nate. My ex-boyfriend. My ex-love. My experimental mistake... We dated for ALMOST a year before he called it quits. He told me I became too clingy. Everyone who knows me knows I am NOT the clingy type, so I knew his pathetic excuse of a breakup was complete and utter bullshit. Later I found out he cheated on me with some girl from West. He broke my heart. He broke my sole. He broke me...

"Sorry do I know you?" I asked, rolling my eyes and walked away. He grabbed my bicep and gently pulled me back to him. "What?" I snapped, yanking my arm out of his grip.

"You look good, Em. How've you been?" He asked, taking a sip out of his drink. I cross my arms, glaring up at him.

"Don't you have something better to do than bug me?" I asked him. He smirked at me, stepping closer.

"Not at the moment, no." He growls. I let out a disgusted snort and step backwards.

"Okay Nate. I think you should just leave me alone. I didn't come here to get with anyone... especially not you." I told him. His look darkened as if I had hit a nerve. He stepped towards me once more and I felt my heartbeat rise. "Stop it." I semi-shouted. I put a hand up to make my point but he continued towards me.

Suddenly someone was next to me. I felt their arm slide around my waist pulling me close. I looked up to find the last person I would ever think would come to my aid.

"Ben?" I asked. He gave me a slight reassuring smile before directing his attention to Nate. Nate's jaw tightened as he saw Ben's arm around me. Ben tightened his grip in a possessive manner.

"Hey Parker... Wanna tell me what your doing with my girl here?" Ben growled at him. Wait... My girl? Nate stepped towards him, clenching his fists. Ben and Nate were around the same height. A good six foot three, but Ben had more muscle.

"Just having a conversation, Sawyer. Nothing wrong with that, is there?" Nate asked him. Ben chuckled darkly.

"No, I suppose not. Well, if you're done here, I'd like to take her away from you." Ben told him. Nate glanced at me once more before nodding at Ben and backing away, walking into the living room.

Ben dropped his arm from around me and ran a hand through his hair. I step back and look up at him. I watched him intently, trying to figure him out. He noticed this and gave me a concerned look.

"What's wrong?" He asked. I shook my head.

"Why'd you step in? I mean I'm glad you did, don't get me wrong, but why? What's in it for you?" I asked, curious for his answer.

"Nothings in it for me. Parker is an ass. He had that look in his eyes and I didn't want to find out what he was going to do. I did what I thought was right." He shrugged. My mouth was agape.

"Oh... Okay well... Thank you?" I said. He chuckled.

"Don't worry about it Em, but how about you stay close to Ethan and I for the rest of the night. You know, just in case anyone else tries to hassle you." He jokes. I rolled my eyes and followed him into the other room where Ethan was.

"Here." Ben said as he handed me another cup. I downed the liquid in a matter of seconds, the alcohol burning my throat on the way down. I got a refilled and downed that one too.

That night I had about 7 drinks, that I can remember. I knew Ethan was going to kill me for getting drunk. Yet, that was the least of my worries.

I woke up the next morning with a pounding headache. My eyes fluttered open and I took a glance around the room I was in. It wasn't my room, but it wasn't an unfamiliar room either. I shift my body and instantly freeze when I feel his arm.

I slowly begin to turn my head towards him to see the person next to me. I let out a gasp when I see his face.

Oh no. No, no, no! Oh god. We didn't. Did we? No, we couldn't have...

I lift his arm off of me gently, being extra careful not to wake him. I lift the covers, hoping that I am somewhat clothed... No. To my surprise, I am completely naked.

"Shit." I mutter. He moves and I jump up out of bed. He is still asleep. I quietly grab the first thing I could find, which just so happened to be his shirt. I slipped it on, it falling mid-thigh. I started to grab my clothing, piece by piece.

I went to grab an article off of the desk when I heard his voice echo throughout the room.

"What are you doing in my room?" He groans. I freeze and let out a sigh before turning around to face my one night stand.

"Emerson?" He chokes out, his bodying going stiff. I feel a slight blush creep up my cheeks. I give him a small smile before waving sheepishly.

"Morning, Ben... Sleep well?"
