As soon as Isabel pulled up, I jumped into her car and ripped off my point shoes. I hissed when i felt pain and saw blood. "Damn girl, what do you do to yourself?" Isabel says, glancing at the blood with wide eyes.

"It's all part of the job. And keep your eyes on the road!" I wave my hand to get her to look ahead of her. The last thing I need is for us to crash. "So, where are we going?" I ask.

"Well, it's a nice night, so I figure we go to the ocean!" She says excitedly. My gaze flickers to her, mouth  hanging open.

"Isabel it's October." I say, hoping she'll just choose something else.

"Nope, it's November 1st, actually." She says matter-of-factly.

I gasp, "I missed Halloween?!" Halloween is my favorite holiday of all time. It's the only time where you don't have to be pretty, you can just go all out and be whatever you want! I love the blood and gore, very ironic since I don't like scary movies, but I will go in haunted houses!

"Yup, sorry I couldn't get a hold of you."

"It's okay, it was my fault I was practicing all weekend." I pout and cross my arms. "So...are we really going to the beach? "

"Hell yea! This is gonna be great!" We arrive at our local beach and I get out in time to admire the sunset. I love the sunset, it's so pretty! We made it in time to see the sun just above the horizon when everything is pinks and purples and the stars are popping in view. I follow Isabel through a few palm trees until we get on the sand. I take off my boots, but frown when I realize I still have tights on.

"Isabel, can we just go home?" I whine and tug on her sleeve. She shakes her head sternly and I sink my shoulders.

"Come on, lets just have some fun!" She unzips her jacket and tosses it on the ground. "Come in when your ready!" She winks and continues towards the ocean. I can't help but smile and start removing my sweater and scarf. When I manage to strip everything but a leotard and tights, I hear giggling and look up.

Two people, what looks to be a couple, are holding hands and skipping toward me. Due to the lack of light, the girls runs into me and we both crash into the sand. The girls squeals in surprise and stumbles on her feet with the help of the boy. I roll my eyes at the girls girlyness and claw the sand out of my eyes.

"Here." A vaguely familiar voice says, I look up, squinting, to see a broad figure holding out his hand.

I mumble a thanks and my eyes widen when I realize who it is. Why me? "Oh, hi Jason!" I mentally wince at how cheery and stalkery that sounded.

He chuckles and his hand comes up to tangle in his dirty blond hair. "Hey Erin!"

I smile awkwardly and turn to the girl he's with. My jaw drops when it's the same girl from the party. "Oh, who's this?" I ask through clenched teeth, trying to sound polite.

"I'm-" Jason inturrupts her, "Erin can I talk to you?" I hesitantly nod and he walks us a few feet away from her. "Listen, her name's Eva and I can explain everything!" My lips form a pencil thin line as I put my hands on my hips, waiting for him to start. "I met Eva at an end of the year party last year. She's a year older and she was graduating. We talked a little, dance, and just really hit it off. After the party, we continued to see each other and long story short, I fell in love." He shrugged his shoulders like everything then was just simple, and a goofy smile spread across his lips. "We dated through June, July, and the beginning of August until she suddenly disappeared. I was so heart broken, and I decided to move on and in the beginning of the school year, you came along." I tilted my head foward, encouraging him to continue. "Trust me, what we had was real, but Eva reappeared at the party after months and it caught me off guard. It turned out she had an acting gig in New York City, and she didn't know what else to do...but leave." The smile slowly left his face as he explained this, and I didn't know what to say. I guess I understand. The love of his life came back and he just was confused. I gave him a simpathetic smile and put my hand on his shoulder.

"I get it. She's the love of your life and she's finally back in your arms. I'm sorry I didn't let you explain sooner." I said. And I really am sorry, too. He tried calling my all weekend, but I was too stubborn to answer. I stood on my toes and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Bye Jason." He grinned and I turned around, taking off the last of my clothing, leaving me in only my bra and panties. "WHOOOO!" I screamed, hands in th hair, as I raced down the beach, stumbling over sand until I reached the water.

Tackling Isabel, we both splash in the water, enjoying the refreshing wake up. I don't know how long we were in there, but the numbness of my fingers and toes after was totally worth it.

^^^^^^

Yay! Jason's just a good guy all around, who cares if he makes a few mistakes? I still love him and his goofy smiles<3
