The journey to school was short, colourless, and mundane; the town was dull and in so many words lame. Ellie's mum mounted the curb; she stared at everyone approaching the school and sighed.

“I’ll see you later sweetie.”

Ellie gave her a half-hearted smile, dragged herself out of the car and watched as her mum pulled off and drove away.

“School take three.” She whispered to herself.

Ellie assumed that starting a new school would be fine, with her previous track record she had fit with ease, nobody seemed to notice her but today, with this school, it was different. It was like she was wearing sign saying ‘new girl, you’re all welcome to stare’.

She looked back to see if she could see her mother, hoping that she would turn around and take her home. But unfortunately she had driven too far to see her miserable daughter. Ellie hitched her bag over her shoulder, abandoned the idea of her mum rescuing her from this hell and plunged her way into the school. New Cross was a fairly normal school; there was nothing special about it. Other than having everyone stare at her it was like any other first day, filled with confusion and angst. The layout of the school was complex, there were signs on every wall with different signs and numbers, not helping Ellie find her way at all. She stopped to look at a map on the wall, there was an orange marker saying ‘You are here’ in zone 2, she searched for the reception office. She searched her bag or her note book and a pen and wrote down directions of the way. She took a step back to walk away when she collided into someone. Ellie immediately spun around to face the, now, furious Essex copycat she had knocked into. She was covered, no, caked in fake tan. Her make-up did not match the colour of her dark tanned skin. Her straight bleached hair falling below her shoulder, resting on her gargantuan breasts. Her plain pink shirt clung to every curve on her torso, her short denim skirt showing more than one should see. She had all of the B’s, Busty, beautiful and blonde.

“I’m so sorry” Ellie apologised.

“How dare you touch me? Freak.” She exploded.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to!”

The girl snapped, grabbing Ellie’s hair she dragged along the hallway. Parading around as if she was showing off a prized possession. Ellie attempted to free herself but the girl tugged harder and hurled her against the wall. Impact with the wall had taken her breath away; leaving her gasping for air. Tears pricked at her eyes, she looked up at the girl to see her walking away, laughing. Ellie forced the tears away and started to stuff her books back into her bag.

“Here”

Ellie glanced over her shoulder and saw someone handing her the note pad she had been holding. She stood up and took it.

“Thank you”

She gawked the person who had helped her, he was flawless; like he had been sculpted by the Gods. With his defined jaw line, hazel eyes and shaggy dirty blond hair. He was perfect, with good looks that would make a supermodel cry. He wore a baggy shirt with jeans; she couldn’t make out his body shape under the large shirt.

“It’s alright; it’s not the first time Roxy went on a rampage. She’s the ‘queen’ of this school.”

“Noted”

“And here comes the king.”

She fixed her gaze to the end of the hall. Everyone immediately cleared the king’s path, making it easier to see him. He looked familiar, as he got closer it became clear, they were twins. Though you could tell the difference, the king was not as attractive. He had sharp, wild eyes, his nose had a small unflattering ridge in the centre and his hair was short, darker and gelled into spikes. His build was fairly larger than his brothers too; he was wearing a red sports jacket with the school crest and black shorts. He proceeded to walk up to the only people that had not moved, Ellie and his brother. His focus completely on his brother, until the distance became shorter did her glance over towards Ellie. His stern expression changed, he smirked and observed the awkward and frightened girl. Adrenaline ran through Ellie as he got closer, keeping his stare on Ellie, it made her feel vulnerable, naked. He made his way over, ignoring his brother and examining her. He smiled.

“Hey bitch, if Roxy wanted you on the floor you had better stay there.”

“Jason! Back off.” This brother said.

Jason ignored him and continued.

“Either get back on the floor now or I will put you there myself.”

The brother stepped in front of Ellie and confronted Jason.

“Seriously Jason, leave her alone.”

“I’m sorry Clark; I didn't mean to be horrible to your girlfriend. Get out of my way.”

“Jason! Stop.”

“She needs to be told who is in charge around here; I’m not going to do anything to her.”

Jason pushed him to the side and closed the distance between him and Ellie. He lowered himself down to her height and whispered in her ear.

“Didn’t you hear me? I said get on the floor or I will put you there.”

Jason did not give Ellie a chance, he grabbed her by her arms are hurled her into a locker.

"Now stay there maggot"

Ellie instinctively put her arms behind her in an attempt to soften the impact, but unfortunately at the angle of her fall she landed on her wrist. Ellie let out a gasp of pain. She managed to sit up and clasp her wrist with her good hand, attempting to ease the pain. As she blinked, a tear fell from her eye, gliding down her cheek. She searched for Jason hoping that he had left so he did not witness her pathetic whimpering. Jason had not left but, he was in no position to laugh at her, Clark had him, forcing him against the wall.
