You plopped down on the couch, a plate of sliced cucumbers in your hand as Luke gnawed at his lip ring, rubbing a led pencil against his head.
"Stephanie?" He asked, shrugging up his broad shoulders as he began to ponder again. You were 7 months pregnant with your second baby, a girl to be exact and since Luke forced the lads to help him set up her room and to assemble the crib, you and his mother took the initiative to stock up on clothes. But your baby shower was a complete jackpot, the two of you having clothes for decades and nappies for the rest of her childhood.
"I don't know, it's not, really attaching to me." You said, shrugging as well as he sighed. Since school was out for the weekend, Luke laid Kol down for a nap well over an hour ago, but he was old enough to wake up on his own. The small toddler was well aware that his time of getting all the attention was going to be soon gone in a few months. Not that he minded at all, less attention meant more time he got to spend with his Lego's that he always stocked up on come Christmas time. His eyes peeled open, the room a blur as he sat up. His hair stuck up every which of way and a small drool spot on his cheek.
Kol learned to be very independent, he started at a young age. When Luke would be gone for a while, he would have to do stuff on his own, without the help of his mother. He picked out his own outfits, brushed his teeth alone and even styled his hair like his fathers. He yawned as he hit the bottom of the stairs, rubbing at his eyes again as his Spiderman pajamas were becoming a little too small for the chubby toddler. You heard the staggering of footsteps and turned your head, smiling as you saw him reach for you.
"Hi baby, how was your nap?" You grunted, grabbing him by his arm as you lifted him onto the couch.
"Good mummy." He said, slipping his hand into your plate as he grabbed a cucumber slice, popping it into his mouth as you ran your hand through his messy hair.
"Emma?" You made a noise, shrugging as Luke sighed.
"Could be a possibility." He smiled, writing it down as you stuck your finger in your mouth, swiping against Kol cheek as he shook his head away.
You were known for loving to embarrass your baby and everyone knew it. But soon you were going to have another baby to embarrass and a part of Kol was going to miss that.
"Daddy why are you and mummy calling out girl names?" He grabbed another cucumber from your plate as you sighed, just deciding to give it to him for a small snack until you could get up to make dinner for your two, very hungry boys.
"Well you know mummy is going to have another baby, right?" Luke said, setting down his notepad as he smiled at Kol.
"Yeah a girl." He said, smiling as a piece of cucumber lingered on his lip.
"So mummy and daddy have to pick out names for her. What do you want to name her?" Kol scrunched up his nose, resembling Luke tremendously as he did so.
"Nugget!" He said, giggling as you and Luke swapped glances.
"Kol, we can't name your sister nugget." You said, kissing his temple as you stood, placing your hand on your tummy.
You remembered that Calum's fiance wanted you to make her a grocery list for an old recipe of yours that she wanted to surprise Calum with for their 8 year anniversary for being together.
"I'm going to go make that list, dinner will be ready later." You kissed Kol's head again before kissing Luke, a smile lingering on his lips as he watched you leave to the kitchen.
"Hey daddy?" Kaiden pondered, finishing the last cucumber as Luke opened the baby book again.
"Yeah?"
"Do baby's come out of va-ji-na's?"
Luke almost choked on his tongue as he stared at his son. Luke shook his head, knowing it was Michael's daughter who said something like this. She was known to be a little trouble maker.
"Well technically yes." Luke wanted to tell his son the concepts of the magical stork who plucks kids from their places in the sky and then brings them down to the parents, but now that concept was out of his reach.
"Did you put the baby in mummy's va-ji-na?" Luke chuckled, the concept of sex with his wife making him blush.
"How did you do it?" Luke swallowed hard, his cheeks flushed as he stared helplessly at his son. Just as he was about to work up an explanation, you stepped back in.
"Hey Lukey, did the recipe call for two cups of milk or just one?" Kol stood on the couch, grabbing your arm. "Mummy, how did daddy put a baby in you?" Luke smiled sheepishly up at you as you shot him a glare. You put down your notepad and pencil, walking to your son as he smiled up at you.
"Well there's this magical stork who flies down from the sky," You looked to Luke, raising your eyebrows as he cleared his throat.
"Yeah and he pulls out a wand and taps it on mummy's belly." Luke said, Kol smiles wide as he looked to you for the grand finale. "And then boom, mummy gets pregnant! And every month the baby inside grows and gets bigger." You smiled at him as he clapped, obviously believing the story as you winked at Luke, the two of you mentally high fiving.
"So when it's time for her to come out she comes out of your jina?" You giggled, nodding as Luke blushed. "Exactly bud." Kol grabbed the end of your t-shirt, well it was actually Luke's t-shirt that you stole and he lifted it up, placing his hands on your belly and feeling around. "
Baby in here?" You nodded, smiling as him as Luke's eyes were on you.
"Are you going to be a good big brother?" Kol smiled, puckering his lips as he kissed your belly.
"Yeah!" The sound of his squeal made your baby girl light up, as she began moving around in your belly. "Mummy! Your tummy is moving!" Kol said, feeling around your belly again as she continued to move around. "She likes hearing your voice, babe." He giggled, putting his ear against your stomach as Luke pulled out his phone, snapping a few quick pics.
"I love you, Lena." Kol said, you gasping as Luke looked at you again.
"Lena is perfect." He said, ripping up the paper with possible names as he grabbed Kol, kissing his head as the small boy giggled. You fixed your shirt, sitting on Luke's lap as Kol kissed both your cheeks.
"Kol and Lena." Luke repeated, kissing your neck as he giggled.
"What a perfect family." You said, smiling at Kol as he smiled up at you. Now this is going to be the next chapter in your lives, and you were more than happy to open it.
