Max pov

I couldnt stop thinking of my weekend with Lu. Her dark shinny hair and how she smelt like vanilla her dark eyes which were full of life whenever we made out everything about her was in place.
"You are still thinking of Lu" Desi asked as we sat at our lunch table.
"I cant stop thinking about her" i  tucked my hair behind my ear. It was tiresome to do this but Lu seemed to like it and i wanted her to be happy. I hadnt seen her all morning but am sure she didnt want to see me. Rumours about me and her together had spread and i was pretty sure Kate would be a nuisance. Lu walked into the cafetiria with Fridah and how she flipped her hair made me want to walk to her and kiss her. On their way to the table some boy called Brian called her and she sat with him.
"Hey, your eyes will fall if you are going to stare at her" leighna remarked.
"shut up"
Leighna was my best friend and being around brought some life to me.
"What was all that about?"
She asked as Lu settled at the table.
"He was asking me out" she said glancing at me. I wasnt okay with it but i didnt say a word.
"Not that,that was predictable i meant about barbie at the hallway."
I was curious to know what happened since nobody would want to cross lines with Kate and knowing that Lu and Kate were together was quite interesting.
"The expected" Lu answered she just fixed her eyes on Leighna as if trying to avoid glancing at me. They all laughed and Desi congratulated her.
After classes i wanted to talk to her but she had already left with her brother. Alex Desi and i later went to my house to watch a game.

"So Max does this mean you and Lu dont have any chances together"Alex asked.
"Seems so"
i took out my phone. I really missed Lu and i wanted her all for myself.Blonde or not short or not i know i had feelings for her.
"Have you talked to her about it? Coz you know she likes you and you like her too right" Desi remarked.
I didnt talk since then till the game ended and the guys left.
"Max can i have a word with you" i heard mom call from the counter.
"I heard" she smiled. "Heard what" i joined her in the kitchen.
"That you like Luoise " she lifted her eyebrow.
"Uumm yeah " i ran my fingers through  my hair.
she put her hand on my cheek like she always does when am worried.
"Listen to me Max when i met your father i wasnt sure he was the one and i let him go just because i couldnt tell him how i felt but if i did i am sure we would be quite far now. And am lucky he left me with a memory of him."she said.
"And whats that" i asked.
"You" she answered.
  "So you think i should tell Lu how i feel about her or we end up like you?No offense  mom" i asked. She smiled and left to her room.
I texted Lu and she didnt reply. I guess that by now she would be all over Brian and he would be already between her legs. I cursed and tried to call her but she didnt pick. How is this girl driving me crazy ,how does she do it.
I went to my room and fell on my bed still waiting for her reply. I was about to fall asleep when my phone rang.
It was Kate my ex girlfriend. I hated her i loved her but generally we were not meant  to be.
"Hi love"

"What Kate"

"Dont be rude. I wanted to appologize for my behaviour the other day. I was just pissed of that you seemed to no longer have time for us and i wanted to clear my head."

"You would have just told me about it insted of kissing guys around school"

"It was just one guy and you are partly to blame for it."

"What do you mean"

"Stop pretending you dont know. Ever since that new girl came to school you have drawn all your attention to her."

"She is just a friend Kate."

"It doesnt seem so. Now everyone at school  is talking about you two. And dont get me started of you kissing her at the party......"

"How is it a problem. Atleast i kissed her when i wasnt in any relationship.why am even explaining myself to you"

"Look Max am really sorry i just wanted to appologize thats all. I didnt mean for any of this to happen. "

"Me too Kate."

"Give me another chance Max i wont mess it up. I swear"

"Night Kate" i threw my phone on the bed and slept still hoping Lu  would call or something.

Lu's pov
Brian took me to the movies which was kind of fun but i kept thinking of Max. We grabbed an ice cream and he asked if he could show me something. I agreed and we went to a building which looked like a hall. Inside were kids of my age dancing and i was really excited about it. He gave me a grand tour and we talked for a while before people began leaving we were all alone which was sort of romantic. He asked if i wanted to dance. He helped me stand and pulled me to him. I was startled and he grinned. Looking at him made me blush and he was just the perfect distraction  i needed. He kept some slow music and we danced until we were both tired. When the last song ended he pulled me in for a kiss but it never happened. I kissed his cheek and dragged him out. He smirked and we got to his car. He drove off and everytime i looked out i could feel his  sexy eyes on me and i could see him smirk. When we got home i hugged him goodbye but it wasnt enough. I got out and ran to his side and kissed him. He smiled and promised to pick me up the following  morning. I found everyone asleep and when i got to my room i found my phone by my computer. I switched it on and found 30missed calls from Max and 12 messages. I laid on my bed and decided to text him.
Max:hi Lu
Me:hi
Max:how was your date
Me:good
Max:can i pick you up tomorrow
Me: thanks but Brian is picking me up
Max:ohkay then
Me:uuumm okay i have to sleep.
Max:sure nyt
Me: nyt
That was awkward. 30missed calls to ask if he could take me to school.
