It was Max's birthday and unfortunately I got sick. It was just a fever but i couldn't get out of bed. Dad asked Blain to take care of me but i tried to convince him i could do things on my own and ended up passing out twice. Why and how would I even be sick on such a day.

"Luoise can i get you anything" my sister  asked holding the doll mom got her for her 9th birthday.

"Thank you sweetie but am okay" I said rubbing her cheek.

"Okay but just to let you know you look worse than that day you woke up looking like you got hit by a bus" she said leaving my hand  hanging. Well there goes her sweetness.
Fridah and Lei came to check up on me as they headed  to Max's party. It was nice to have them around for sometime but they had to leave. Brian also came with Dyan and apologized for hurting me saying he would wish if we were still together and other lots of things I didnt even bother listening to. I was finally left with Blain.

"Blain since i am literally stuck in bed tell me how you met Fridah"  he sat next to me.

"We met on the couch." He briefly said.

"What do you mean by "On the couch "

" I was from football practice and when i got home i found her waiting for you to come back from Max's  but you delayed  and called dad to tell him about prettyface then she wanted to leave but it was already late so we just played games then i confessed my love for her then we made out and she spent the night in your room and left before you got home.
That's basically it" he concluded.

I felt as if my ears were fighting to run away.
"Wow" I repeatedly said looking at him.

"What it's not like you didn't make out with your crush the first time you were together.alone" he teased.

I hit him with a pillow and he pretended to feel the pain.

" You are so lucky Blain" I congratulated him.

"You to Lu you are lucky but you don't know it" he said looking at me meaning each and every word.

He asked if i needed anything else before he left for the party. I was getting better already but there were no chances i would go to the party looking like that. "Thanks bro" I said as he left.
Cindy was left looking after me and she did a great job for an 11year old.
I couldnt stop thinking of Max's party and for him being there for me the previous night i just wish I knew what he wanted.

"Cindy what do you consider as a perfect gift" I asked sitting next to her.

"A box of chocolate" she smiled.

"Then that's what all get Max" i said loud enough for her to give the what did you just say look.

"Lu's got a crush" she sang

"No i dont"  i sang back.

"Yes you do i saw you kiss him yesterday and we all know what happens when you lie." She finished and my palms began sweating.

"Maybe a small crush" I admitted.

"I knew it you do love Max and he loves you to" she bragged bouncing on the chair.

"You dont know that" i pushed her playfully.

" hello am 11 eavesdropping is my thing and i heard him tell Blain how much he likes you but he respects some distance rule you made him follow."She added.

I was speechless for a while but decided to clear my head from it before I got another fever yet i was recovering.

"Let's watch coco shall we" I said while renting it. It was the only animation that i actually liked and well the only animation i actually bothered to watch.
