mina's pov
"i need to do three cheers?" i asked in shock and she nodded. i groaned and sighed.
"come on, you can do it. i know you can," nayeon cheered me up.
"i'm gonna be at our school paper at the end of the year and the title would be, 'the weirdo, geeky, ugly-faced nerd trying out cheerleading but ends up embarrassing herself'," i said while making some hand gestures in the air.
"that's too long for a title," she replied and i sighed.
"you're going to do it badly if you'll not do your best and try," she explained. "show me what you got."
i nodded and positioned myself.
"the s is for super and the u is for united the p is for perfection and you know we are excited the e is for energetic and the r is for rad so tell the other team that we're the best! woo! go bulldogs!"
"v-i-c-t-o-r-y! that's the bulldogs spirit! victory, victory, victory!"
"knock 'em down! roll 'em around! come on defense work, work!"
the captain stood up and clapped her hands in proudness. "that was pretty good."
"you liked it?" i said in surprise.
"um, no honey, i loved it. i saw the sizzle that everyone wants," she expressed. "but i think you need some help with your," she made gestures on her face. "please! let me do this on you! just for this day!"
"you want to do a makeover on my face?" i asked and she nodded and grinned.
should i have a makeover? i mean, jimin will watch so should i?
"just for this day?"
"wait. you're allowing me?" she said in a shocked tone.
"i guess so," i replied in an unsure manner.
"omg, really? i can't believe it. this is the day, this is the day where you've finally come to your senses! oh my god. you really needed this," she said in joy and almost cried.
"umm, okay?"
i looked in front of the mirror as nayeon was finishing the makeup look with a light pink liptint.
"look at you," she said in a proud manner. i smiled at myself and thought that i can actually be a beautiful girl just like my best friend. "i knew you have real beauty."
i have no words to myself but just.... wow. is this still.... me? i didn't know i have an elegant aura in me. i don't think i'm the ugly-duckling mina anymore, i think i'm the beautiful-classy mina right now.
