mina's pov

"okay class, we will be combined with the other section for our new research," the teacher stated. "the researches will be about science since our department focuses more on that. i will pick your partners on the other section."

everyone groaned that we can't get to be partners with the people we want. i mean, who does?

"here are the partners...."

yeah, it got bored and i didn't listen because all i did last night was binge watch 13 reasons why. love that.

i rested my head on my arm that's on my table until someone nudged at me. i knew who it was. i sit up and faced nayeon. "what?"

"did you hear the name of your partner?" she said with excitement.

i rolled my eyes and went back to sleep. "i don't care."

after school, i had to walk by myself because nayeon was already excited to meet her partner. i stopped walking when a car stopped over beside me. i continued to walk and the car followed me but when i stopped, it also stopped. i did it again and again until i got annoyed.

i knocked on the window and it opened. holy fuck!

"hey mina." jimin smirked. yes, he smirked at me. "i can bring you to your house."

i gulped some saliva inside my mouth. "sorry—"

"i don't mind at all." he tilted his head and smiled.

"i can just ride a bus—"

"i would like to know more about you."

i chocked on my own saliva and i faced on the back to relax myself. after i'm done with that, i faced him. "o-okay."

i sat beside him and he started the car.

"so, how are you partner?" he started the conversation.

partner?

"what partner?" i asked in confusion.

he giggled. "you don't know that i'm your partner in our research?"

my mouth was left open because i cannot believe that out of all the people, he's my partner. "no."

"now you know."

oh jesus, i love you so much.

"what is our topic?" i asked to continue the conversation. "i didn't really pay attention to class this morning."

"i can tell." we both chuckled and stopped for a while. "well, the theme for our research is about medicines and it'll be our project for the whole senior high."

"o-oh." first, why the hell i slept? second, my partner is jimin! and last, i will do this research for two years!

"yeah," he replied. "we should think for our title or problem but i want to talk to you more so if it's okay, can we meet up every saturday?"

i choked on my own saliva, again and looked at him. he looked serious with what he said and he's not joking at all. does he know the person he's talking to? "umm, what?"

"i asked if we can meet every saturday."

i started to panic and i didn't know what to do. "why me?"

he chuckled. "'cause you're my partner!"

"oh, o-okay," I replied trying to calm myself down.

he grinned. "that's great." he noticed water dripping down my head to my neck. "you okay? what's wrong?"

"no-not at all! i'm totally fine!" i tried to act normal and wiped the sweat out of my face.

he looked at me with suspicious eyes and then nodded. "okay."

after some time, we arrived at my house.

"thanks for the ride," i said and turned to my back.

"wait!" he shouted and i turned to face him. "can i have your number?"

fuck. i'm dead.

"nu-number?" i started to sweat a little and rubbed my thighs together. "do you have to have it?"

"of course! how can i contact you?"

my mind stopped working for a while. i didn't know what to do in this situation. mina, think!

option 1: give him the number of nayeon.
option 2: give him my real number.
option 3: run.

.... option 3 it is.

"bye," those were my last words for him that day. i ran to the front door of my house and locked it. i also closed all the windows around my house. thank god my parents have business trips.

note: did you thought i would never update this book? hah. jk.... no but really, it has been a long time. i don't think people still remember this story. even the author doesn't know! anyways, i'm gonna start to update every week (i'll try) starting today because school year is almost ending! woohoo! i hope all of you had been great.
