chapter 17; emma
i went home thinking about ethan and how much i had missed him. i really fucking love him, i really do. and i didn't even realize it until i had lost him.
while getting lost in my thoughts i didn't even realize the drunk driver coming at me and bang-
i woke up in a hospital bed with excruciating pain in my rib area, "e-ethan?! mom?!" a doctor came rushing in and starting telling me everything at once
"you were hit by a drunk driver" i was dozing off again and i don't know how long she was talking for but i heard "is there anyone you want to call? does anyone know where you were?"
i answered immediately "uh y-yeah. ethan and grayson"
"okay miss, what's their numbers?"
after i gave her their numbers i fell asleep i guess.
four hours later
my eyes fluttered awake, i didn't know where i was "hello?" i called out
"oh my god emma you're awake" i hear a familiar voice say, i look over
"ethan!" i say, the most happy i've been all day.
he came over and hugged me
"ouch" i yelped
"oh i- i'm sorry em, i didn't know"
"it's okay" i say
doctors came in
"okay so she suffered some minor injuries, nothing too bad but definitely is going to need to rest for a couple weeks" she got out x-ray scans "she has two broken ribs, it's going to take 2-3 weeks to heal but other then that she's okay!" she smiled
"thanks" i say "now when can i get out of here?"
"actually you're free to get out in an hour, do you have a ride home?" she asked
"yep" ethan stepped in the conversation, i smiled at him

"i have to call my mom and dad, where's my phone?" i say, i completely forgot to call them, ethan looks around to find my phone. he spotted it and handed it to me, i called my mom
"hey mom, i got into a car accident. i have two broken ribs. i need you and dad to come down."
