I couldn't bare to see my sister like this, so I walked away holding back my tears so I could be strong for my parents and my little brother, Benny.

"What h-h-happened to to my si-sister?" I said, not able to contain my tears.

"She was killed. I'm so so sorry! I didn't want to have to tell you this! I'm so sorry" the detective replied.

"Thank you. Are there any leads?" I calmed myself. What's the point of crying anyhow. I had to be strong!

"Unfortunately we don't. We haven't been able to interview your parents," he explained, "could you help any?"

"I'd be happy to." I offered, "what can I do?"

"Well, Detective Johnson would like to talk to you."

He then pointed to a young man in his 20s, standing tall in a black suit, a white shirt, and a red tie. I walked over to him, and told him who I am and he told me who he was.

"So, I want to know, did you sister have any...enemies?"

"All that I think would be her recent ex. He was kind of a bad guy."

"What do you mean a 'bad guy'" he asked emphising bad guy.

"Well he was constantly yelling at Stacie! He was always drunk, had like four DUIs, went to jail twice, and hit her on occasion." I told the detective.

"That's very serious! did your parents ever know about this? And when was her braking point?" He asked me.

"Ya. Well I guess my parents knew when Stacie came home with her face red. They actually broke up last night." I told him.

"Thank you for your time"

"Welcome..." I said, "do you think he did this?"

"We can't be for sure. But one more thing, what's his name?" he sounded suspicious.

"Joey. Joey Westons." I replied and walked away crying.

I ran to my mom and hugged her for as long as I could. I just stood there and cried.

~A Few Days Later~

I walked out of the funeral parlor and drove home with my boyfriend, Cory. It was quiet and even though he was there I felt alone, but if I thought being alone was the that, I never knew that feeling.
