Emma's pov
"Okay class, as you all know, we will be hosting camp whistle again this year for all the year 11's. So now i will assign you to your partners and no, i will not allow any change of partners." Mr John, our form tracher said.
Collective sighs could be heard as everyone grumbled. "Now lets begin....sarah and nate. Sam and collin..." Mr John went on and i started to lose interest. "Arielle and ashley....emma and joshua." Blahblahablah i thought whatever who cares about what emma and WAIT WHAT. My partner. Was. Joshua. Hong.
My head snapped towards Mr John. "Could u check the list again. I think there might have been some kind of mistake." I could not be partners with Joshua. I just got to know him and i was supposed to be partners with Ashley. "Right? We cant be partners" I turned to face Joshua. He looked at me and just for a second, he seemed to look hurt. But before i could be sure, he turned and nodded. "Right".
I felt gulity for doing this but i know i should stay away from Joshua. I didnt want to mess with Cheryl anymore. The last time i tried, she almost killed my cat, ginga. I knew she would show me no mercy if i didnt stay away from Joshua. I wanted to tell Joshua that it was not because i didnt like him or hated him but i didnt want to take the risk. Please dont take this to heart joshua.
Ashley's pov
Nooooooo..... i thought to myself. I got arielle the weird creepy girl as my partner. As i turned to face her i saw she was already staring at me. Shivers ran down my spine and luckily the bell to signal the end of class rang. I packed uo my things and i saw Joshua leave the class quickly witnout even saying bye to emma. Hmmm..... strange i thought to myself.
As me and emma were walking out of class, she seemed very upset and i guessed it was beacuse of Joshua. "Hey, i know u like him. Why do u keep trying to push him away?" Emma looked at me in surprise. "What?? Like him? Pshhh no..." I rolled my eyes. She was trying to deny it. Just then, i remembered what happened in the canteen. "Its Cheryl isint it. God that stupid girl. Im gonna show her what it means to back off." As i was going to walk to find Cheryl emma grabbed my wrist.
Emma's pov
"Dont Ashley. You dont understand. She can really hurt you. Its okay i dont really mind anyway." I said. Ashley looked at me uncertainly. "Please," i said. She agreed not to go but a voice in my head told me i was lying to myself.
