Emma's pov
"Class, today we have a new student. He just moved to Singapore not long ago." Mrs Bala, my super damn lousy english teacher said.
I totally ignored her, cause i hate her. She made me stand at the back of the class for throwing rubbish the other day. I started day dreaming as my english was quite good and i normally doze off during english lessons.
"AHHH! WHO ARE YOU? GO AWAY K THANKS BYE!" I shouted as i was about to fall asleep and some person decided to sit beside me, disturbing me.
The boy (who looked so good btw) looked at me with an amused look. "Hello if you didnt hear me just now, i asked you who you were." He slowly turned towards me and smirking, he said " My name's Joshua. I guess you don't pay attention in class? "
" Yea lol. I dont really like the teacher much."
Just as the bell to signal the end of english class sounded, Mrs Bala said " Emma, you will be showing joshua around Marysea High School since you are sitting next to him." DAMN IT. I really wanted to go for lunch with ashley today. This is the only time I regretted wanting to sit at the back of class alone. "Ok fine lets go get lunch first since its lunch time."
He looked at me with excited eyes and packed his things. When we exited the classroom, Ashley came running to me. "HEY EMMA, GUESS WHAT. Theres this weird girl who i found out talks to dolls. So weird." It was then she noticed Joshua standing beside me. "Ooooo... whos that?" She asked while smirking. I told her that he was just my tablemate and as he was new, i had to show him around the school.
"Okayyyy.... enough talking can we get lunch? Im starving." What a whiny person i thought. "Eh, dont you think he looks like a meerkat?" Ashley whispered to me. I looked at him closely and we both burst out laughing.
