Emma's pov

"Ok......" i thought to myself. I was nervous as it was finally the day of our camp and I heard that there was going to be a night scavenger hunt, and was looking forward to it even though I was scared of the dark.

my partner was now Lucas. even tough he was not that bad, sometimes i felt that he was kind of weird as he likes to show off a lot and was very loud.

"Heyyyy Emma! i can't wait to tell you all about my holidays..."

I was seriously going to die. he just kept going on and on even though the stories were quite funny and interesting, there were just too many. As i started to loose interest, i saw Joshua looking at me from the seat diagonal from mine. To no one's surprise, Joshua was Cheryl's partner. Anyone could see how Cheryl was trying so hard to get his attention but he was obviously not interested.

When we finally reached our campsite, everyone pushed to get out of the hot and stuffy bus to see how the camp site looked like.

" OMG!!! Emma come look at this!" screamed Lucas at the top of his lungs. Chuckling to myself I walked to Lucas who was acting more like a 5 year old than a 17 year old. I went to him and he pulled me towards the hall where everyone was heading.

"Okay everyone, my name is Caleb (ahem,, inside joke) and Ill be your main supervisor for this years camp. Now i will be allocating the 4 different camp groups for this year."

Upon hearing that, everyone in the hall started to murmur and I looked at Ashley. I was hoping so  ad that Ashley would be in my group.  " Pairs number 1,23,18,15,7 and 3 would be in one group. You guys would take the Vine cabin" Caleb shouted out. "Shitttttt..." i thought to myself as I knew that Joshua and Cheryl were in the same group as me.

Lucas and I walked to where the rest of our group members were and we started talking and getting to know each other as some of them were from different classes. As we were breaking the ice, I couldn't help but notice that Joshua kept on looking at me. I tried my best to avoid eye contact as I knew Cheryl was there.

Joshua's pov

I really wanted to tell Emma that I knew who she was and I hope she would remember that I was the boy who was her neighbour when we were young. I hated how she was spending so muvh time with Lucas and looked like she was having so much fun with him. Tonight, when everyone was sleeping, I would go and tell her the truth.
