Valentine by 5 Seconds of Summer

I can take you out, oh-oh

We can kill some time, stay home

Throw balloons, teddy bears and the chocolate eclairs away

Got nothing but love for you, fall more in love every day

Valentine, valentine

Luke seemed nervous. Really nervous. "Babe, are you ok?" You questioned him as you looked through your closet, trying to find something wear.

"Huh? Yea I'm fine." Luke mumbled, pulling on his boots before checking his phone. "I gotta go make some calls really quick."

"Ok?" You barely replied before he was running downstairs. You shook your head before deciding to wear a cute black cocktail dress with red heels and a red choker.

You heard the front door shut and a big crash before a string of curses came from Luke's mouth.

"Luke?" You yelled as you walked down the stairs to see what the hell had just happened.

"CLOSE YOUR EYES." Luke screamed at the top of his lungs, making your face scrunch up in confusion but you closed your eyes regardless.

"Can you please tell me what's happening?"

"Ok this was supposed to get here this morning, but Ashton overslept and didn't go pick everything up even though he promised he would." Luke rambled as you heard shuffling, "I should have gone myself this morning, but cuddling with you is my kryptonite."

You let out a huff as you stood there waiting, getting slightly inpatient. "Ok. Open your eyes."

As soon as you opened your eyes, you felt overwhelmed by the number of flowers, balloons, and teddy bears that were scattered around the living room.

"O my God Luke." You muttered still trying to take it all in.

"There's some chocolate eclairs in the kitchen, I figured we could save those for after we eat at the restaurant we had our first date in. At the same table and everything." Luke announced, very proud of everything he was able to do for you this Valentines day.

"Wait really? Are you serious?"

"I had to go all out for you my love. Now go and finish getting ready, the reservation is at 6! If we're late we'll lose the table and I called a month in advance to make sure we'd eat there tonight." You nodded quickly, turning to go back upstairs when you noticed the clock hanging on the living room wall.

"Babe....It's 6:33." You cautiously told Luke, watching his whole body deflate as he looked at the time. "I...Shit...Baby I am so sorry." Luke stumbled over his words, letting his body fall back onto the couch as he realized that his plans for today were completely ruined.

"Luke, it really isn't that bad."

"No, it is that bad! How could I screw up THAT MUCH? I was trying to make Valentine's Day special and I screwed up, I'm sorry." You walked over and sat down on Luke's lap, effectively holding his attention on you.

"Luke it is JUST Valentines Day. It is a commercialized holiday that people stress too much over every damn year. We don't have to go to that restaurant, we don't need these balloons or these bears or even the chocolate eclairs. All I need is you, everything doesn't matter as long as I have you at the end of the day. That was the whole point of my tweet, right? I showed Stacie that I didn't give a shit what she or anyone else said because I have all of you tonight. I appreciate the thought you put into today, and I'm not upset or mad at how it turned out. I've got nothing but love for you, and days like these make me fall more in love with you."

You watched Luke go from frowning to smiling in seconds, his whole demeanor changing once again. "God, I love you." Luke muttered before pulling you in for a deep kiss.
