"i'm telling you felix, he was beyond gorgeous. like i've never seen anyone look that good before and i bet you he wasn't even trying."jeongin was currently lying on his bed, talking to felix on the phone. he was dressed in a regular pair of jeans and baby blue polo shirt, with his headband and name tag on. his first shift started in an hour and he decided to call felix to kill time and tell him all about bang chan.
"you're definitely exaggerating, and i thought you said you weren't gonna date until your senior year?"
"okay yeah i did but i don't even think he goes to our school so i don't really care."
"what does him not going to our school have to do with this exactly?"
"nothing it just means that i don't have to worry about anyone at school stealing him from me duh."
"do you even know how old he is, what if he's not even in school."
"oh shit! i have his ID card!"
"you have his what? why do you have that?"
"he dropped it and i said i was gonna give it to him whenever i see him again."
"what if you never see him again hm what are you gonna do then?"
"i don't know, give it to the police or something."
jeongin put felix on speaker phone and rolled around on his bed until he flopped onto the floor. he crawled to his pair of jeans that were lying on the floor and took the card out of his pocket, his also forgotten lollipops fell out as well. he examined the card looking for a date of birth but didn't catch it, instead he found his address.
"okay i have it in my hand, his address is on it do you think i should go there?"
"well duh that seems like the most logical thing anyone would do."
"i really don't need your sarcasm hoe, but i can't go today i have to go to work in less than an hour."
"aw our little baby is a working boy, i'm so proud."
"shut the hell up. anyways im gonna hang up and start walking so bye lix."
"bye my little baby boy." felix cooed and jeongin hung up.
sighing jeongin slid his phone in his pocket, grabbed his house keys off of his dresser, and also slid chan's ID in his pocket as well. he left his house and headed in the direction of his newfound job
as he approached the shop he took a deep breath. he really didn't want to mess anything up on his first day, that'd be really fucking embarrassing.
upon entering the brightly lit shop, changbin was at the counter once again and greeted jeongin as he came up to him.
"hey jeongin, are you ready for your first shift?"
jeongin nodded excitedly "yep i'm ready!"
"great that's what i like to hear, you look so cute! so you're gonna start on the register today and i'll train you on different positions once you've gotten this area mastered." changbin motioned for jeongin to come behind the counter.
the register was touch screen and was really simple, all he had to do was weigh the customers cup of frozen yogurt and click on any toppings the customer added for a .50 cent up charge.
basically jeongin just had to stand there and give out cups to anyone who wanted to buy yogurt and wait for them to come back to the register with a filled cup.
it was around 6:30 pm when jeongin didn't need changbin's help anymore, he caught on really fast and changbin went into the back of the shop to unbox and stock up some new shipments they had received.
the shop wasn't very busy at this time and jeongin had his phone out on the counter and he was busy on it tapping away. he had already stocked some cups up, cleaned the exterior of the frozen yogurt machines and swept and mopped the floor of the shop.
there was really nothing else for him to do and no one was in the shop. changbin had came out and was finished stocking up the back room and was stood next to jeongin on his phone as well.
jeongin decided to try and break the ice, because it was awkwardly silent. "so do you go to school around here?"
looking up from his phone changbin nodded his head and smiled. "yeah i go to a uni around here, and you're in high school right?"
"mhm i'm in my junior year already, i can't wait to be a senior."
"make sure you study hard, senior year for me was really tough i barely passed."
jeongin sighed and scratched the back of his neck "i'm barely passing my junior year, i can't imagine my sen-
"yo changbin i'm home where's my free frozen yogurt!"
jeongin looked at the person walking in, a male in a leather jacket. he gasped and quickly dropped to the ground on his knees, hoping that the person that just walked in didn't see him kneel behind the counter. changbin looked down at jeongin and gave him a weird look, but quickly shrugged it off looking back at his friend.
"what did i tell you about coming in here yelling, and my manager is in his office you dipshit."
"oh shit sorry dude, just noticed no one was in here so why not you know?"
changbin rolled his eyes, grabbing a cup from under the counter and handed it to the male. "oh and who's the kid on the floor?"
"whatever you were trying to do didn't work, he noticed you." changbin spoke.
jeongin got up from the floor slowly and stood up, not without looking at the ground. "hello.." he spoke in a timid voice.
"oh! you're the dude i bumped into the other day, is that why you were hiding from me?"
jeongin nodded his head slowly still not picking his head up. he slid chan's ID out from his back pocket and dragged it across the counter.
"oh my god, i thought i'd have to pay for a new one. thanks so much." chan reached over and took the card, his fingers lightly brushing over jeongin's, making his heart swell up in his chest.
"anyways we're about to close soon so hurry up and get your yogurt so i can shut the machines off. jeongin you can clock out and have a seat in a booth so i can show you how to lock up once 7:00 hits." changbin picked his phone back up busying himself with it.
jeongin went over to the computer clocking out and went to go sit in a near by booth playing with his phone.
normally chan would come in everyday, get some yogurt, talk to changbin and leave, but today for some reason he just didn't want to leave yet.
