A/ N~ the story is going to start when they meet for the first time, or at least for Toni.
Cheryl was walking up the steps to Pops, alone as always, when she noticed a familiar pink haired girl walking in the other direction.
"Toni?!" Cheryl says unsure if it was her or not. The pink haired girl turned around confused.
"Toni. It's really you." Cheryl says smiling as she walks toward Toni.
"I'm sorry. Do we know each other?" Toni questions. Cheryl's frowns falls. "That's right. You don't remember."
Toni stares at the redhead even more confused. "Can I ask how you know my name?" She asks nervously.
"It's a long story. Can we talk inside?" Cheryl questions. "I'll explain everything."
"Why would I trust you? I don't know you. I don't even know you're name. What if you're some type of stalker? That would explain how you know my name!" Toni says angrily getting in Cheryl's face.
All Cheryl could do was giggle. "My names Cheryl." Cheryl sighs. "Can we please go inside, so we can talk?" Cheryl pleads. Toni nods suspiciously.
"Sure. It's not like I have anything else to do today." She shrugs. They both walk into Pops, Cheryl smiles when Toni sits in their old booth.
"Why are you so smiley?" Toni questions.
"His used to be OUR booth before..." Cheryl trails off.
"Before what? I still have no idea what you're talking about." Toni states.
Cheryl takes a deep breath. "Okay. Just know it's a long story and it might be hard for you to take in." Toni nods, gesturing her to continue.
"When we were about 17 and a half-" Cheryl gets cut off. "We?! I didn't know you when I was 17." Toni scoffs.
"Please let me continue. Like I said it's a lot to take in." Cheryl says calmly and continues.
"So we were about 17 and a half when we met. You were sitting on a bench in the park by yourself. You looked really scared, so I went up to you and asked if you were okay."
~this is a flashback to when it happened~
"Hey. Are you okay? You look scared. I'm not going to hurt you. I just wanna help you." Cheryl whispered walking closer.
Toni pulled her legs to her chest hiding her body. She was only wearing a long hoodie with no pants. She could see the hurt in Toni's eyes as she whimpered.
"Do you want some help." Cheryl asked as she sat next to Toni on the wooden bench. Toni hesitated trying to speak. "It's okay." Cheryl stated.
"Are you going to hurt me?" Toni whispered. "No. Of course not." Cheryl replied immediately.
Toni looked up into Cheryl's eyes, seeing the sympathy. Toni nodded. "Where are we gonna go? I can't go back home. I can never go back there. They hate me. Everyone hates me. I hate me." Toni started crying falling into Cheryl. Cheryl wrapped her owns around Toni.
"Hey it's okay. You can stay with me for a little while. And for the record I don't hate you." Cheryl comforted. Toni sniffled as she stood up.
"Can we go? I don't want to be seen by anybody." Toni whispered.
"Dang already embarrassed by me? Don't want to be seen with me?" Cheryl jokes. A smile crept onto Toni's face as she giggled.
"Very funny. But seriously, can we go?" Cheryl nodded, "yeah let's go."
They climbed into Cheryl's red Jeep Wrangler and speed down the street. On the way to Cheryl's apartment they had a pretty personal conversation.
