Chapter 4: Katarina's Terrible Childhood

(In an apartment near the university, where Nico and Katarina lives. Katarina talks to Nico.)

"Are we sure that we are going to oval fields tonight just to play Spirit of the Glass?" Katarina asked worriedly.

"That's sounds creepy, right? But we have no choice. Besides, Violet will coming there. She's so pretty and I like her." Nico said with smile and feel in love.

"What I mean is, this is very dangerous for us to talk to ghosts." Katarina said nervously.

"As long as I am there for you, I will always protect you as your friend. Before your mother died, she asked me to take care of you. My family adopted you and they treat you as their real child. So, I kept promise to your mother." Nico said graciously.

Katarina grew up in her home where her father was very abusive and her mother was caring and hardworking. One day, her mother got sick and she suffered tuberculosis, she became bed-ridden and her husband always complained about lack of money. When her father went home drunken at that night, he went to young Katarina's room and he suddenly lay on her. He forced poor young Katarina to sexual intercourse. He covered her mouth to keep silent. Her mother was sleeping and never heard her. Katarina cried as she was raped by her own father. After that, her father going back to his room and he left Katarina naked, weeping.
