Third Person Point Of View

Dawn sits at the Slytherin table with her other classmates, watching as the sorting was happening. She had noticed a satisfied look on Draco's face when she did see him again, feeling worry bubble inside her belly on what happened when they left him. Especially when she couldn't see Harry anywhere right now. She tried looking at the Gryffindor table and could see Ron and Hermione were without the Chosen One, where was he? Did something happen while he was gone at that lunch for Slughorn?

Dawn could feel her chest tighten and her throat close up, closing her eyes gently and taking three deep breaths to feel her breath regulate. God... she really needs to calm down with these anxieties, Harry is probably fine right now. There is nothing to worry right now. He is probably late or something, who knows. She knows Harry can handle himself.

She heard the Great Hall doors swing open as McGonagall guides the new First Years into the hall, seeing the amazement on their faces once more. There were very few new students, probably from parents wanting to protect their children since the many dangerous years here at Hogwarts. She honestly didn't blame them for wanting them to be safe from here as she thought of the years here where students almost died ( - or have, as she remembered Cedric Diggory's death back in 4th year).

She didn't really pay attention to the sorting since she really didn't care, sometimes hearing a child name being called and would be sorted into a house, that certain house erupting into claps on having a new addition to their house. Dawn would leisurely clap as they would get a new student.

"King, Azure"

"Hey, she looks a lot like Snape doesn't she?"

Dawn looked at Cat as she brought her out of her thoughts to look at the new student coming up to the stool, a plump girl sitting on it. She seemed to have a long face with a hooked shape nose like Snape. Interesting.

"A bit, not terribly though." Dawn replied to Cat, hearing her being sorted into Slytherin, a giant smile going over her lips and going over to the front of the table to join her fellow Slytherins. Dawn went to look at the front to see Snape's reaction, but could see him missing at the moment.

Snape and Harry missing can't be good, right? Dawn could feel anxiety rise up to her chest once more as all the students were sorted and dinner started.

-----[☀️]-----

Towards the end of dinner, Dawn already finishing her plate of food and was drinking some pumpkin juice, she saw the doors open once more and her eyes looked over to see her bloodied face boyfriend. She could practically feel the annoyance and rage coursing through the boy as he walked as fast as he could to the Gryffindor table to join Ron and Hermione. She could see some people trying to stand up to get a better look at him  once everyone begin the notice him too, seeing some murmuring to each other no doubt trying to figure out what on earth happened to him.

But Dawn was doing the same as she watched him force himself between the two and saw Hermione use her wand to magic the blood away from his face.

Dawn wasn't able to ogle at her boyfriend very long as Dumbledore got to his feet, the talk and laughter around the Great Hall dying down as all attention went to the old man. A smile went over the mans lips as he raised his arms in gesture of greeting all the students.

"The very best of evenings to you!" He said cheerfully.

Dawn eyes trailed from the mans wrinkled face to his right hand, blackened and dead looking. What in gods green earth happened to Dumbledore's hand? Dawn thought as she watched the hand, seeing other people take notice of the hand.
