So my internship started a little bit earlier than I expected, so you know what that meannsss...

It was the second month of the pregnancy, and Jade already felt more pregnant than ever. She began craving food she never imagined eating in her life, and she cried at everything -- books Perrie bought for her, movies she spent her nights watching, and music she listened to. She stepped on to the scale everyday, and within the previous month, she gained at least eight to ten pounds.

One afternoon, she got sick of spending most days cooped up in her house, and since Perrie wasn't doing anything better, she ran down the stairs and found the blonde in the kitchen. "Let's go out."

"What?" Perrie asked, putting away the last of the dry dishes.

"I'm sick of staying inside, and I forgot what traffic sounds like. Now, can we please just take a walk somewhere?" She begged. Perrie laughed at her persistence. "Fine. I just assumed you'd like to come with me, but I'll go alone. I guess I'm no longer a flight risk. Maybe I should re-check my bags upstairs," she turned her back.

Perrie wiped her hands dry and followed her. "Fine!"

"I just figured that in a couple more months, I won't be able to do this at all since I'll be too big to move around. You know, I still can't believe that a tiny baby is inside me," Jade explained, meeting the blonde stride for stride. "One day, I'll be able to feel him or her move; kick inside me. It's amazing when I really think about it. This baby's mine." She put her hand over her stomach.

Perrie smiled at the girl's growing admiration. "I can remember the first time Dani felt Emma kick. It was in the sixth month. Jed was away on a case down south and she ran across the hall, banging on my door at two o'clock in the morning. It was the most amazing, ridiculous feeling I've ever felt. Like bubbles in her stomach," the blonde chuckled.

"So, were you ever romantically involved with Danielle? Because you seem to be very interested in her."

Perrie laughed. "Dani? God, no! She was my best friend in high school, and frankly, I was the one who introduced her to Jed. She's like my sister, and it helped because she was also friends with my little sister."

"I didn't know you had a sister."

"You never asked," Perrie smiled but it immediately disappeared. In an instant, she turned the opposite way, stringing Jade along.

"What, hello? Pregnant lady here," she commented on the blonde's grip. "Perrie!"

Perrie shushed her, "Don't say my name!"

Felling the girl's distress, Jade got out of her grip and continued to follow her.

"Pez?!" A woman's voice called out. "I thought it was you."

The two of them turned to meet the estranged woman. "Oh, hi. I'm Elizabeth."

Jade looked over at Perrie who stared down at her feet like Death just appeared. "I'm Jade." She held out her hand, and the woman shook it. "So, how do you know Perrie?"

"We go way back. It's been a while." The second part was directed towards a silently humiliated Perrie. "How are you?"

"How's David?" The blonde asked instead, anger flaring out of her aura. Elizabeth's smile faded slowly. "Nice ring, he gave you that? I guess I lost my invitation in the mail," she remarked about the size of the rock on her finger.

"Yeah, we got married last summer."

Perrie feigned a smile, "Well, it's good to know you couldn't wait at least a year. Anyways, Jade, I think the walk's over."
