Chapter 3

Alexander's POV

lying in bed, laurens in the other side of the decently small room, lying in his own. I'm worried about him. I know he was lying when he said he was ok. i just can't figure out what the problem is..  He doesn't deserve to not be ok. he looked to happy the first time i met him.. those.. damn.. green eyes... they've gone dull.. 

It's obvious at this point. I'm Bi. but this is the first time i've actually been this infatuated with a guy. I roll over to my side and look at john. a guy like him can't be gay. slowly falling into sleep.

time skip ~ the next day

I wake up and stretch. longest sleep i've had in months. no classes yet, but there is an orientation for all students at 10. i look over to the side, seeing john sleeping peacefully. I check the clock. 9:30.. jeez.. didn't expect to wake up this late. 

I get up from my bed and walkover to laurens. i grab his shoulder and shake him up a bit "hey, roomie wake up." he groans in response. he looks up at me "alex?" he says groggily. i smile down at him. "there's an orientation at ten" he blushes up at me "ah yeah, hehe.. " he gets up and stretches as well, yawning. i get up from his bed and walk into the bathroom. 

John's POV

ah. a goodnight's sleep was all i needed. And having alexander's face be the first thing i see today made my day before it started. 

time skip ~ college orientation 

We ran into laf and herc in the halls and ended up sitting next to each other in the orientation. It was kinda boring, so i was looking around seeing if there was anyone i knew. That's when i saw the schuyler sisters a few rows away. I saw Eliza lean over to Angelica and whisper something to her, before looking back at alex who was sitting beside me. she looked... helpless.. i felt my heart crack. but what was i to do? "hey, alex, someone's eyeing you" i whisper over at him "where?" he looks back at me. i signal at someone behind him. he looks back and sees Eliza And Angelica. i see eliza look away, blushing brightly. alex looks back at me, blushing himself. "damn.. haha.." he says silently. i smile awkwardly. "mon ami, someone seems to take an interest to you, tu es si chanceux! that is Eliza Schuyler" laf buts into the conversation "if you could date at least one of 'em you're rich son" herc says after him. i nod subtly. "now now, how do you know it was me she was looking at?" 

after the orientation 

3rd person POV

Angelica walks over to them as they exited the room. "hey" she says casually, grabbing Alex's arm. "where are you taking me?" he asks. angelica smiles "i'm about to change your life" alexander, amused said "then by all means lead the way.." john and the others look at him and shrugs. he had no idea what he wag doing. angelica walks him over towards Eliza. "E-Elizabeth Schuyler.. it's a pleasure to meet you" she says, putting a bit of her hair behind her ear. 

Alex's POV

I have to admit, she was cute. and maybe this would be a good distraction from all the gay shit in my life as of now. "schuyler?" i ask. "my sister" angelica answers. "sorry about dragging you here.." eliza says. "if it takes getting dragged for us to meet, it will have been worth it." i give her a wink, which makes her face flood with red. "I'll leave you too it.." angelica says, hinting a bit of pain in her voice. i look behind me and see that the others have already left. well fuck. "where are you headed?" eliza asks "well, i was just going to go to my dorm, you?"  i reply "yeah.. me too." she says "cool, let me walk you there, you don't seem to have anyone else with you" she looks behind her "what? peggy was just here!.. oh well.. ok." and just like that, i start walking her to her house. 

although..

this didn't feel.. 

right.

i tried to like her, i wanted to like her. but all i was able to think of was how much i liked john more than anyone. how? why? am i that gay? i looked at Eliza. brown.. brown eyes.. they shone like the sun but.. i couldn't appreciate them as much as john's.. why? i hear eliza giggle "alexander? are you ok?" she smiles up at me. "oh, i'm fine" i smile back. 

We reach her dorm and i wave bye. "could i invite you to a day at the amusement park next sunday? with my sisters that is" i agree "great! see you" she says before waving and entering her mansion of a house.
