I put the dress on and slipped black heels on, looking for a necklace to wear. Justin knocked on the door. "Just a second!"
"Come on Pet. I'm sure you look stunning."
"I'm trying to find a necklace!"
"Wear the pearls. I bought you some matching earrings." I hesitated before putting them on, before opening the door. His hand was over his eyes. "Put these on and I'll meet you downstairs." I kissed his cheek as I took them and went into the bedroom. I checked myself before walking out and going downstairs. He looked up and I smiled softly. "Wow..." I blushed as I reached the bottom. I walked over, smiling at him.
"Is this okay?" I asked and he kissed me. Pulling me against him, I could feel him on my thigh. "Justin, we need to go." I giggled.
"I don't think I want to." He teased.
"I do. Now come on." He chuckled.
"Fine, but you're in trouble when we get home."
"For what?"
"Being so fucking gorgeous." He led me out to his Lamborghini and drove us to the house.

When we pulled up he got out and walked around to my door, opening it

When we pulled up he got out and walked around to my door, opening it. I stepped out and I noticed a man walk over. "Mr. Romano, to what do we owe the pleasure?" He said, taking my hand to place a kiss on the top. I smiled appreciatively, and Justin growled a little.
"Babe..." I warned, and he stopped. "Nice to meet you. I'm Carmelia."
"Luther Warren, at your service miss Francesca." He bowed his head a little.
"Come on sweetheart." Justin said and led me in. "He's a trap, and you know it."
"He seemed nice."
"He broke someone I know. I don't want that to be your fate as well." He said and I looked at him. He was letting me see the pain he'd caused. I nodded.
"Okay." He kissed my forehead and instantly he was guarded again. No pain or fear in his eyes, no nothing. He led me inside and I noticed some people talking to each other while looking at us. He led me to the bar and the bartender smiled at us.
"What can I get you?"
"Whiskey for me." Justin said.
"Same for me." The dude looked at me for a second.
"Seriously?"
"Got a problem?"
"Two whiskeys, coming right up." He said, smiling at me. A woman walked over in a red bodycon dress. It stopped just above her mid thigh, and the neckline plunged almost to her waist, with sheer fabric covering her.
"Bold choice. Jared, champagne."
"Yes ma'am." He poured her glass and got back to our whiskey.
"Interesting choice in dress too." She said, giving me a quick once over.
"I picked it because I liked the way it made me feel, then judged on appearance."
"And it is stunning on you baby." Justin said beside me, kissing my cheek. I smiled at him, before turning to her.
"Well, isn't he just a lovestruck puppy?" She said with a dry smile.
"Got a problem, lil' Miss perfect?" I replied softly, and grabbed my drink. She shook her head.
"No, I don't. Good day." She walked away and Justin led me to a table. Six men sat there, with two extra seats.
"Boys." He said and pulled out my chair. "Sit. We can dance later."
"Doubt it in these shoes."
"You chose them, not me."
"You're tall, I'm not." They all chuckled.
"Got me there sweet cheeks." He sat beside me and kissed my cheek. "Boys, this is Carmelia. My girlfriend."
"Nice to meet you, beautiful. I'm Jackson."
"Lincoln."
"Darius."
"Quinton."
"Ezekiel."
"Gerard."

Judging on the fact that Justin hadn't reacted rudely at Jackson's complement, I figured I'd see them often, so I memorized their faces

Judging on the fact that Justin hadn't reacted rudely at Jackson's complement, I figured I'd see them
often, so I memorized their faces.
"Hi." I whispered.
"Shy? That's new." Gerard said, his deep voice sending shivers down my spine. "How's business, Justin?"
"Could be better."
"Where did you two meet?" I looked at him and he nodded.
"I was working downtown as a waitress. Eddies Diner."
"Say wasn't there a shooter there, like yesterday?" Darius said.
"Three days ago. He almost shot me."
"Why?!"
"The guy must've known we were dating, because he grabbed me as a hostage, while he blamed Justin for his mother's death."
"Oh my god."
"Yeah. And that was before she knew about my true job." Justin said.
"What?"
"All I knew was there was a gun against my head. I convinced him to let me go, and I tried to stop him but..."
"Pet?"
"I'll be okay. Just reminded me of the past." I said. He sighed.
"Come on. There are some other people who I want you to meet." He said, standing up. "If you'll excuse us."
"Of course." We walked over to a pregnant woman who looked as if she was about to pop. She smiled at us as a little girl ran over to him. He chuckled and picked her up.

"Hello there beautiful!" He said and she giggled

"Hello there beautiful!" He said and she giggled.
"Uncle Justin!" She hugged him and he smiled widely. It warmed my heart to see him with her. "I missed you so much!"
"I missed you too boo! Now go play with Tyler." He put her down and she ran off. "That was-"
"You had a cute little niece like that, and you didn't say so?" I said, smiling.
"Yes. I was worried."
"I love kids, calm down."
"Good. That was Toni. She's the reason I wanna settle down one day. Have a few of my own." I smiled. "What?"
"You. Anyway, you were introducing me to people?"
"Oh! Right! Carmelia, this is my sister Darlene and her son Jacob." He tapped her tummy to signal to Jacob.
"Nice to meet you Carmelia! Micah said he was whipped. Now I see why."
"Thank you. How far along are you?"
"7 months. I'm due in November." I nodded. "Oh, there you are!" A guy walked up, and kissed her. She pushed him off with a giggle. "Jake, this Carmelia. The one whipping my brother."
"Lovely to meet you Carmelia."
"Please, the pleasure is mine."
"Are you drinking whiskey?" He asked, giving my drink a glance.
"I'm a man when it comes to alcohol. I can't stand fruity stuff. That's the stuff that gets you too drunk to walk." He nodded.
"Couldn't agree more."
"At least in the so called manly stuff, you can taste the alcohol." He nodded.
"How long are you staying Justin?"
"Until she wants to go home."
"Whipped." They both said and I giggled.
"Attention everyone! Dinner will be ready in ten minutes." We shuffled to the dining room, and found our name cards, before sitting down. After dinner, we danced for a bit before the man from before made a speech. At the end of his speech, he called Justin up. He kissed my head before walking up.
"Alright who was it that said I was whipped?" They all laughed. "Whoever said it is right." They laughed once more and he continued his speech. Then he did something I didn't expect. "Honey, come up here." I locked eyes with him and he started begging with his eyes. I stood up and some people murmured.
"Her dress is gorgeous." I heard one woman say as I walked up. He kissed my forehead.
"This is Carmelia. Most of the people in this room that have met her find her nice, and if anyone tries anything, she'll kick ass." They laughed and I smiled. I whispered something in his ear and he chuckled. "Of course sweets." He kissed me and I smiled at the audience before returning to my seat. Once he was finished, everyone went into the next room and danced. He walked over to me. "May I have this dance?" I blushed and took his hand, nodding. "Do you know how to waltz?" I nodded.
"I used to." He smiled and spun me around, before pulling me into his arms. I giggled and he smiled.
"Happy here?" I nodded.
"Although we're heading home soon. My feet are killing me but I want to get a few dances in." He nodded and swept me away.
