Flashbacks-
"Isaac, tell me Jackson didn't hurt you and I will stop being a bitch." I begged.
"I never said you were being a bitch, and Jackson didn't hurt me."
"I want to know who-" I cut myself off as my eyes narrowed.
"Allison. That no good motherfucking CUNT!" I screamed, standing up abruptly.
"Don't say that, Laurel, just be glad Jackson is alive, the Kanima is gone, Gerard is gone, we are all okay!" I let out a bitter laugh,
"First off, Stiles is not okay. Look at his face! Second, you got stabbed by that ho. And third, I am not okay. Do I look okay to you, Isaac?! DO. I. LOOK. OKAY?!"
"Please stop, please stop Laurel. Don't start saying that, you sound like Mom! Just stop!" My breath hitched, and I froze.
"Do you want to die?" I hissed, even my brother could piss me off by talking about my mother.
"Laurel, Isaac, Daniel! Come and get some dinner!" Mom called. We all hopped out of the pool, not bothering to get ourselves towels as we sprinted into the kitchen, multiple wet footprints trailing behind the three of us.
"Do I look okay?" She asked routinely.
"You look spectacular as always." I replied quickly, shooting Daniel a smirk.
"The usual beauty has yet again stricken you?" Isaac said, sounding sketchy. I giggled at him and he shot me a playful glare.
"See the stars? They always shine brighter when you are around." Daniel. He had a way with words.
"Thank you, kids." She smiled at us 6 and 9 year olds.
"Isaac, it can't be true! She is fine! Right, Dad? She will be okay, she will always be okay?" I questioned, hoping that my worst fear had not come true.
"Not her too, Daniel and Mom? This is a dream. Pinch me, Laurel. PINCH ME!" Isaac demanded. I pulled him into a hug, my smaller arms wrapped around his torso.
"Do I look okay?" Dad asked. We pulled apart, turning to him. He looked angry, like some madman had replaced my father.
"DO I LOOK OKAY?!" He yelled, his face not far from our innocent, 13 year old ones.
"Yes, Daddy, you look fine."
"Handsome. Handsome, too." Isaac rushed. Before I knew what was happening, his large hand made contact with my face as it slapped across it.
