As your delicate frame became engulfed in a thick sheet of black silk you noticed the man had gone silent from his previous banter.

His eyes were fixated on you and only you. Tears threatened to fall from jimins eyes from his previous break.

Silence

You had expected it, what would he say? "Dope you're a dog" you explored his face for anything but fear and sadly couldn't find it.

"I-I-" he stammered stepping back clumsily tripping over his own feet.

You morphed back and his eyes softened yet still tinted with an utmost terror.

You shrunk into yourself suddenly filled with a new lack of confidence, maybe you were too terrified to have someone else turn on you, to leave you.

That's why in theory life would be lived so much easier alone, but human emotions drag you down to the sad needy beings humans are.

You stood in silence while jimin stared you up and down seemingly waiting for someone to pop out and reveal that this is all a prank.

But that someone wouldn't come, they would never come, because this was the truth.

You had spaced out, your eyes focused on an oddly entertaining spot of chipping paint behind jimin.

You jumped when you heard a smooth and solid voice, "okay".

Your eyes darted to the man standing feet away from you and examined his relaxed features, though his face carried a confused look.

"Tell me everything, about you, about this place about-" there was a slight pause in his last thought, "about taehyung and Jae-hwa".

And so you did, you told him everything, the institution, how jae hwa was taken off your project because she was overly obsessed, how taehyung begged to work with you.

You told him how taehyung had suddenly befriended you and turned his back.

You left out the details of how exactly you were cut and bruised but you were sure he had a certain idea from seeing what they had done to you earlier.

"So that is where taehyung works, I just don't get it. Why would my father work there too"

At this sentence your eyes sprung up, his father.

He was brought up multiple times by jimin and by taehyung especially while talking about "work". Come to think of it, taehyung seemed incredibly close to jimins father. Jimin was the only one out of the loop, it was his father and taehyung that we're focused on the institution.

"Your father? I-I don't really know anything about him....wh-why is he working with taehyung, aren't you guys just friends?"

"N-no taehyung and I are actually cousins, but taes dad died when he was a kid and his mom bailed so we took him in." Jimin grimaced talking about his past.

"T-Taehyung always tried to prove himself to my father, my father is a cold man, he hated taehyungs dad and despised his sister for leaving tae with us" jimins eyes faltered and he looked down breaking any eye contact we had before.

"Taehyung would do anything to please my father, perfect grades, obedient, best athlete. He was like a robot, utterly and completely perfect. But my father was able to pick out s flaw within perfection. He hated taehyung, on a different level. He would...h-hit him all the time, sometimes just a smack but other times..I-I thought for sure he would die." His hands fiddled with themselves and he looked up for a moment.

"But every time he did something to taehyung, tae would come crawling back. My father was aware of taes abilities intellectually and anything in between, he used him as a tool" jimins words became less steady and shook as if he was beginning to break.
