22-The Past

You both sat in silence for what felt like hours, Taehyung was reluctant to speak and you, on the other hand, were utterly terrified by the potential madness yet to be unleashed.

"Okay, well, I guess it all started before any of us were born. Your mother... she was engaged to my-Jimin's father." Your face faltered at that, you'd never known your mother was engaged to any man before your father, "Your mother cheated on him with who I assume is your father and after that they split up and your parents ultimately got married and had you."

You took a deep inhale, this already seemed like a lot to find out in such a short amount of time and still, you knew, he wasn't even close to being done.

"Jimin's father married Jimin's mother but he soon found out that you were, well, born. He got back into contact with your mother and that caused the separation of Taehyungs parents" his face remained cold and icy.

"W-what why, they weren't cheating..were they?" You asked, you didn't want the answer. Your mother was such a kind woman, she would do anything for your family. you didn't want your image of her to be ruined.

"No y/n, your mother wasn't the one that caused it... it was you...." your eyes widened, what did you have to do with any of this, you hadn't even met any of them before this whole fandango.

"My uncle, he became obsessed with you y/n, to the point where it was unhealthy. I want you to know that he wasn't always a bad man. Something just switched off in his brain, he became a whole new person. He loved you so much y/n he wouldn't stop talking about you. You were perfect, everything he wanted. My aunt couldn't take it, you came over everyone, me, Jimin...my aunt. She couldn't take it any longer, and she left, without telling any of us" he took a break for a minute examining you.

"I hated you... I hated you so much y/n, I wanted to kill you ever since I was a little boy. I would do everything right everything he wanted, and he would still put you above me, a little girl whom he'd never even met before. I guess that's where I began going wrong as well." He looked furious, but mostly, just agonizingly upset.

You had ruined his life and you hadn't even known it.

"Jimin wasn't as bad though, my uncle still loved him, he was his own flesh and blood, but you still were able to make it above him"

"If you don't mind, this doesn't really make sense. Sure it was an extremely psychotic and unhealthy relationship, but why would he want me...in here, being tortured and tested?" None of what Taehyung was telling you added up in your mind, if he did love you as much as Taehyung led you to believe, why would he knowingly put you through this.

"Your mother realized the shift in his personality, she wanted you guys to be safe so she immediately cut all ties with him, our entire family, anyone in any contact with us was shut out, my father became furious. He hated your mother, but he despised you. He said the only way for the both of you to learn was to hurt you, we never thought he actually meant it"

After your mother left my father dug into some deep stuff, he was the CEO of a very prosperous company, he invested a large sum of his money to not only finding you, but discovering organizations and institutions that he could benefit from. And that's how the institution came about. He donated a large amount of money and when he finally found you he invested in your experimentation."

You sat in silence, this man was absolutely insane, no wonder Taehyung turned out the way he did, there was something seriously wrong with him.

"S-so does he know.." "no, He doesn't know anything about you and me or you and Jimin... but he knows you're out, he has troops of people trying to find you"
