Sophie POV

I dove into the water and glided through it. I shot upwards spraying everyone who was still on the shore. Splashing and diving felt so natural to me and reminded me a little to much of home. Before I was whisked away to the lost cities I was the best swimmer on the best swim team in san francisco.

I dove under again so no one would see my tears as I struggled through the pain of the memory. When I arose again everyone else jumped in joining me. My competive streak showing I forced everyone to race each other.  There was shouting and cheering each time I finished well before the others. It was times like this that everyone forgot that the neverseen was still out there.

Fitz swam up net to me and I turned my head away to hide the blush crawling up my cheeks. He was standing there shirtless and I could see every perfect muscle of his. " Hey Soph its nearly time for lunch we should get out and eat." he said. I started luaghing and could not seem to stop. Everyone freaked out and rushed to me. Blinking the water out of my eyes and pulling my hair away from my face I finally got a grip on my self and stopped laughing. " Guys I am fine I just remembered something funny from my childhood. Lets eat" I jumped as Fitz entered my mind.

"Sophie I thought we said no more lies". Startled I looked at him not caring how red my cheeks are. Instead of transmitting I spoke to him. " Fitz I am not lieing. When I was younger I always ate my lunch in  the water with my plate of food on the shore. He looked ashamed and apologized for acusing me. I laughed and pulled him out of the water.

I heard Keefe complaing that the water ruined his hair and saw Fitz and Biana fighting as siblings always do. Dex was working on some gadget while mumbling to himself about how he wished Tam and Linh were there so they could prank Keefe. All of this causal chatter reminded far to much of my past and I couldnt handle it. Fighting back tears I sat down let the flashback take over. I faded in and out of consious hearing worried and frantic chatter. I tried to respond and instead fell backwards slipping into the water and struggled to breath.

Strong arms closed aroung my waist and lifted me onto shore. Turning over I coughed up water and fully woke up. Everyone was so concerned as I told them about my past and the flashback. Insisting I was fine everyone started playing again. My face flamed bright red as I stared at Fitz not caring if the others noticed. When we said our final goodbyes I leaped away happy at how the day had turned out.
