I want to start this off by asking people not to hate me for this story. You guys are welcome to interpret this however you want. You can make it a dream or a nightmare. You can make it her biggest fear. I wrote this as a story where he died but you don't have to read it as that. Thank you for all of your support and for almost 500 reads.

Sophie POV

The smell of burnt sugar engulfed me as yellow streaked across my vision. I gripped Fitz's hand refusing to be alone in this fire storm. The heat seeped through the fire proof clothes and scorched my skin. I was paralyzed with fear as the Everblaze took away the people I loved.

Liquid crystal dripped onto my clothing burning me even worse.  I saw a hole in the melting wall and without thinking I jumped. Fitz and I plummeted through the sky sinking into the void and landing on the ground.

I turned to ask Fitz if he new where we were and instead of his beautiful self I saw an almost lifeless body. I reached for his chest ignoring the fluttering of my heart. There was a faint pule weakening at every beat. I teleported to Elwin so upset I couldn't talk. Bullhorn screamed and I sobbed.  A life had been lost and he wasn't coming back. Elixirs were pressed to my lips and I swallowed them, letting Elwin treat me. A cloying sweetness surrounded me and I sank into a dreamless state. 

Fitz POV

Sophie grasped my hand and we stood together facing the fire. The heat was intense and my body burned. Before I blacked out I felt someone pulling me out of the building. My lungs burned as I plummeted through the sky. I was placed down on a cot and that where my memory ends.

Sophie POV

Strong arms life me up and I face a room of tears. I rush to Bianas side and let her collapse on me. I thought I had lost everything but it was nothing compared to his family. The Vackers looked less than fabulous with there red puffy cheeks and blood shot eyes. Grady and Edaline showed up sometime and joined the sorrowful gang.

Time skip - At the Wanderling woods

Sophie POV

The councilors came up and gave a speech about Fitz. The Vackers all spoke about there lost son. Everyone in the wanderlings was upset. I clung to my happy memories of him. Keefe walked up behind me scaring me. I jumped and turned towards him. We clung to each other as we advanced in line. When we reached the front Tam, Lihn and Dex were already standing there. We sid our apologize and then were pulled into the mass of Vackers. Biana whispered into my ear that She had persuaded her family to let us stay up there with them. I relayed this message to Keefe and we stood like statues. 

I felt arms wrap around me and saw Biana draw me into a hug. I held her up and we cried yet again. I had sobbed an oceans worth of tears but they just kept coming. Without much recollection of how I got there I woke up in bed. Biana came and set up a mattress in my room. For months we stayed together she slept in my room and all of Everglens' resident took up rooms in havenfeild. 

Today I was feeling a little better. At least good enough that I decided to surprise Biana. I dragged her out of my room and told her to close her eyes. When she opened them again we were soaring on Silveny's back and looking down at an outstanding view of Everglens massive estate. This was a moment of joy that helped us all remember the Joys of when Fitz was alive instead of being sad about his death.
