I walked down the path in between hundreds of other soldiers saluting me and David, we were wearing black and white suits with UNSC and ONI badges on them. We walked towards the captain of the ship and saw a familiar face, Rob had apparently been sucked into space with us and the Pelican picked him up as well.
I walked up to the captain and David and I saluted him, he saluted to us and smiled. "For your bravery on the field, your death defying mission, and your results I award you both with a Medal of Honor and promote you both to Lieutenant."
Everyone on the deck clapped for us as we grabbed our medals and put them over our necks, "You two take a well deserved rest, you saved the galaxy today, who knows who you'll save next. At ease." We nodded to him and turned to walk back down towards the main corridor.
We walked into our new shared bunk room, above the door were our numbers and the title 'Headhunters'...
