It took me a few weeks to realize that she passed by at the exact same time, every Wednesday.

The first week I just happened to see her. I was freshly out of rehab and I wanted to have a quiet, smooth transition back into the real world. So I moved into a nice quiet neighborhood. No one, besided my close friends and family knew I lived here. It was the beginning of November and the weather was still deciding if it was still being nice and sunny or leaning closer to winter. It was my first Wednesday in the house and the weather was pretty nice. I was sitting on my front porch watching my dog run around the front lawn. She walked passed my house. She didn't necessarily interest me very much, she was just like all the other people that passed my house, but I was watching her cause there was no one else walking on my block at the moment. She was talking on the phone, in a language I couldn't understand, and smiling. There was a bit of a skip to her step and she seemed happy.
It wasn't cold outside, a lot of people were wearing only one layer that day, to enjoy the possibly last day of nice weather, but she was wearing a sweater over her shirt. She had long, wavy hair. It was a unique color, somewhat of a mix between dirty blonde and light brown. She wore it down, nothing in it. It was split down the side, flowing in the soft breeze.
It took her about half a minute to pass my house, and as soon as she was out of sight I forgot about her. Until the next week.

It wasn't on purpose that I saw her again. I wasn't outside, I wasn't waiting for her. But someone had knocked on my door and as I opened, she was passing by. I didn't really have time to look at her, cause I was telling the guy at my door that I wasn't interested in whatever he was trying to sell me. She was on the phone, again, smiling as she walked with a skip. But that was all I could pick up from behind the salesman at my door.

The next week it was raining and cold. I was just going to the window to close it, when she walked by. That's when I started to get interested in her. Again she was smiling and on the phone. There was still a slight skip to her step, even though it was raining. She was still wearing a sweater, but she was letting the raindrops fall on her hair, not wearing her hood. I decided to put a reminder in my phone for next week, to see if she would pass by again. I set an alarm for 'the Wednesday girl' and continued with my day.

I hadn't really ended up needing the alarm the next week. It was extremely hot again, like the weather couldn't really make up it's mind jumping between hot and cold, rain and sun. I was out on my front porch when she passed by. I was sweating and I was only wearing a tank top, but she was still wearing a sweater. This time she seemed to be talking English on the phone and I could actually understand her.
"No listen, it's the same tune just different words," was all I heard her say, before she let out the cutest laugh I'd heard in a long time, as she passed by my house, still smiling and skipping as she walked. I was really quite interested in her story. Who is this girl? Where is she coming from every single Wednesday at around 5.37? And where is she going?

The next week was a little colder again and I didn't want to go outside, but I stood by the window waiting for her to pass. I felt a little weird, I probably looked like a creep or a stalker or something, but I was curious to see what was gonna happen this time. She walked by, as usual, but this time she wasn't talking on the phone. She was wearing headphones and singing along to whatever she was listening to. I couldn't really hear anything, cause I was inside behind the window, but I assumed she was singing cause every other week she'd held the phone to her ear when she was talking. Her hair was up, this week. She had a pretty face, big dark eyes I hadn't seen before because her hair was usually flowing in her face. Now she was wearing a ponytail. It looked like it had been a high, tight ponytail, but over the course of the day it had loosened up and fell down a little. It was a little messy and the wind made it even messier, but it looked good on her. I liked her hair like this.
