"Hello there, my dear hostess," Reeka smiled, as I opened the front door for her and she made her way in.
She had been on my mind way too much for my own good. Every day I was thinking about her and how she was doing. Every day I wanted to drive over to her aunt and uncle's house just to see her. Every day I wanted to text and talk to her. And every day I had so many questions swarming around my head that I wanted to ask her.
When I'd dropped her off, I'd told her that we should make it a weekly thing that she would come to my house every Wednesday. Like a little pit stop on her way home. And then I'd drive her the rest of the way. She agreed that it might not be a bad idea to get a few minutes of warmth in this cold weather, and I felt myself excitedly waiting for her to come again today.
I felt quite silly, being so excited for someone I barely knew. But I liked her. More then I should. And I just really wanted to get to know her better.

"Hi Reeka," I smiled, as I gave her a hug. She hugged me back and as much I loved the feeling, it made me really worried. She felt so weak and fragile and she looked quite a bit worse then she had last week. She was worrying me a lot. "How was your week?" We sat down on the couch and this time I was better prepared, as I had a plastic cup filled with water ready for her and a plastic plate with some fruits on it, since I knew she could have that. She smiled when she saw it.

"Good, good, thank God," she nodded. "What about you? What have you been up to?"

I shrugged. "Nothing much. Met up with some friends. Went to a bunch of meetings. Oh, I actually recorded a song, but I'm not so happy with it yet, so I'm going to the studio again tomorrow and we're gonna work on it, fix it up and hopefully finish it."

"When are you gonna release it?" She asked. "Do I get a sneak peak? Since were like besties now, you know," she winked and I laughed.

"It has to be finished before I can let anyone hear it," I winked back and she chuckled.

"Well, when it's done, I'd be very happy to hear and give you constructive criticism. Even though I can probably tell you now already that it'll be perfect."

"Really? And how would you know?"

She smirked. "I know everything."

"Hmm, interesting," I gave her a look, which she gladly returned, before we both started laughing. "So, tell me more about you," I said after a while. "I feel like I really don't know much about you."

"What do you wanna know?" She asked.

I shrugged. "Anything you wanna tell me."

"I can't just say things. You have to ask me questions."

"Okay," I took a deep breath and thought of a question that would not be too personal. "Are there certain topics you wanna avoid?" I decided to ask, to make sure I wasn't gonna ask anything she wouldn't want me to.

She scrunched her face up into the cutest thinking face I'd ever seen. "I don't know. What kind of things do you want to know about me?"

"Everything. I want to know everything there is to know about you," I squeezed her hand. "But obviously not things you don't wanna tell me."

"Okay, so just ask and if I don't wanna answer, I won't answer."

I accepted that answer and decided to ask the question that I had been wondering about most. "Why did you and all your siblings have to leave your parents house?"

"Oh," she sighed. "Good question. It's complicated," she laughed a little. "My whole life is complicated, that'll probably be the initial answer to all your questions," she let out another sigh. "My parents just couldn't give us what we needed after a certain point. My youngest sister is still at home, she's only 9. But all my other siblings left home when they were either 13 or 14. Most of them didn't go too far away at first, so they could still come visit home pretty often. They only came to the US after being away from home for at least 3 years. I only left home when I was 17, because I'm clingy like that," she chuckled a painful laugh and I felt myself feeling bad for her. "If it was up to me, I would still live at home now, driving my parents up the walls. I really didn't want to leave, but I had to. I went straight to the other side of the world and I didn't come home for 8 months. I'd never been away from both of my parents for longer then 3 weeks before that, so it was hard, but they'd both come to visit separately and together, so I did get to see them. They don't want us to leave, but they just couldn't give us what they wanted us to have, so they had to send us away to get what we needed. We all still come to visit whenever we can though, and our parents come to visit us too." She hadn't really answered my question, cause I didn't know what it was that she needed that her parents couldn't give her, but I figured she didn't wanna tell me, so I decided to drop it, at least for now.
