I just stared at him. I have to admit he was attractive. He just looked at the room of unfamiliar faces. He looked like he wanted the floor to open up and take him. I heard some of the girls swoon at his looks and gasp. Who was this kid? He was tall. He was muscular and looked like he works out a lot, but not too much. He was pale, but not as pale as everyone else in here. He had jet black hair like me and his eyes. I have never seen anyone with eye color like his. He had gold eyes! I had to take a double take. I couldn't believe my eyes. As I looked back at him, he looked right me. I quickly looked away blushing.
"Hello! My I ask who you are?" asked Mr.Johnson.
"Uh..yeah..sorry...Hi my name's Oliver Jefferson." said the kid and shook Mr.Johnson's hand.
"Nice to meet you Mr.Jefferson." said Mr.Johnson. "Well welcome to my class. Pick a seat..uh..where ever you can find one."
Oliver looked around the room and some of the girls tried to either move their friend or try to make it look like there was no one sitting there. I for one just put my head down and continued drawing away. I wasn't paying attention when I felt someone standing in front of my desk.
"Hey is anyone sitting here?" asked Oliver. I was about to say yes when I realized I was the only one who had an empty desk next to them. I sighed and moved my stuff over.
"No you can have it." I said. He smiled at me. That's when I saw he had dimples. He looked kind of cute when he smiled.
"Thanks." He said while sliding into the seat next to me. Some of the girls turned around and sent me death glares. I wanted to disappear. "So what's you're name?"
"Why do you want to know my name?" I asked him while trying to work on my assignment.
"Well since you're stuck with me for this year, I might as well know the pretty girls name next me." He said and gave me a wink. Wow what a flirt. I hate boys like this. I rolled my eyes.
"Well if you want to know so badly why don't you ask one of them." I told him pointing my pencil at the group of girls who use too much spray tan. "They could be more use for you since..well..I don't know.. they show interest." I said and went back to my work.
"Wow someone's got an attitude." He said with a small laugh. "One way or another I'm going to figure it out." He told me with a wink. I wanted to throw up.
The rest of class spent every girl coming over and trying to come up with an accuse to talk to him. He seemed to love it, while I just wanted to finish this and go find Cameron and go home. I wanted to punch them all and tell them to beat it so I could work in peace. I liked it better before Oliver walked in.
The bell rung and I grabbed my stuff as fast as I could and ran out the door. My last period was just a study hall so I could leave if I had a ride. I found Cameron waiting by the lobby and walked over to him. He looked up once he heard me walking towards him.
"Ready?" he asked me putting away his phone. I know I could walk home, but it was too hot and I wanted a ride to the soccer fields to sketch a few things.
"Yup." I said. We walked to his car and he drove me to the park. I grabbed my notebook out of my bag and I saw him grabbing his soccer gear and heading towards the soccer fields. I went and sat on the bleachers.
The team that he was playing with were all getting ready and shouting things. I pulled out my Ipod and listened to Let it go By James Bay. I started to sketch the lake that was off in the distance when I a loud thud near me it startled me. I let out a little shriek. I looked up and saw him. Oliver was too busy pulling out his shoes that he didn't even see me glaring out him.
"You know Oliver! Some people would at least not throw their stuff everywhere and jump other people!" I yelled at him. Oliver turned to look at me only that it wasn't Oliver.
"Excuse me?" asked the kid?
"I..I.." I was lost for words. I could have sworn this was Oliver! He looked so much like him. The only thing was this kid had piercing green eyes. The kid raised his eyebrow. "I'm so sorry I thought you were someone else." I said. The kid stared at me for a bit and then starting laughing.
"Oh I see. You thought I was my twin brother Oliver." said the kid laughing still. I started blushing and felt extremely embarrassed. "I'm sorry for whatever my idiot brother did to tick you off today." said the kid. He stopped laughing when he realized how embarrassed I was. "Hey I'm sorry I didn't mean to laugh at you. It's just I never really get confused to my brother."
"Oh sorry I'm hons...." I tried to explain, but he cut me off.
"Hey don't worry about it." said the kid. He held out his hand for me. "Anyways my name is Jack. Jack Jefferson." I shook his hand. "And you're name milady." I giggled at the name he gave me.
"I'm Cara. Cara Livie." I said.
"Well Cara it's nice to meet you. Well hey I would love to chat and get to know what set you off about Oliver, but I have to get to practice." said Jack. He grabbed his water bottle and ran to the field. I don't know what to think of Jack, but he seems to be the better twin than Oliver.
We were there for about and hour and a half. I tried to draw something, but I couldn't stay focused. My mind kept wondering off about Jack. I have no idea why. I guess it's because he looks a lot like Oliver. About 20 mins into their practice and my attempted at drawing the boys came over to take a small break. I decided this was my signal to go back to listening to music and pretending I wasn't listening. I was in the middle of drawing the tops of the trees when someone moved my legs onto their lap. I looked up and saw Oliver. Or at least I think it's him.
"What do you think you're doing?" I asked him.
"Just chilling, taking a break what about you? Cara?" he asked with a smirk. I rolled me eyes.
"Typical you're suck a fuc.... wait how do you know my name?" I asked him.
"I told you. I have my ways." He said. He leaned back against the bleachers and stretched out his arms. He leaned his head back and let the sun shine on his face.
In this position he looked cute. I wanted to curl up next to him. The was a small breeze and I could smell his cologne. Slowly a smile crept onto his face.
"Stare much?" he asked with one eye open. I snorted.
"Get lost Jefferson." I told him and grabbed my notebook and walked away from him. Why does he have to be a flirt? I was hoping he wouldn't be, but I was wrong.
I walked to my brothers car and sat in it until practice was over. That's when I saw both Jefferson brother's walking side by side. They looked so alike, but yet so different. Oliver was slightly taller and had darker hair. Jack was tanner and not as muscular as Oliver. Both of them together you could easily tell them apart but when they are not the only way to tell them apart is their eyes.
I pretended to be working on something when they walked over. I slide down in my seat so they wouldn't see me.
"All I ask of you is please don't screw this up." one of them said. I believe it was Jack. His voice is not as deep as Oliver's.
"I'm not. It's just you know. It's been so long." said Oliver.
"I know, but you promised not to do anything." said Jack. I heard Oliver sigh.
"I know I did, but it just doesn't feel right." Oliver replied. Then I heard the car doors close. I couldn't hear them anymore.
I wonder what they were talking about. I guess it's about soccer or the new school. I guess Oliver is the reason A they got kicked out of their new school or B Oliver said something to the coach and almost got them kicked off the team. Either way I wouldn't be surprised.
"Ready to go home?" asked Cameron closing the door behind him.
"Uh yeah." I replied.
"Why are you sitting like that?" he asked me. I looked up at him and slowly sat up in the seat.
"The sun was in my eyes." I lied.
"Uh-huh." said Cameron. He drove us home and my mind swirled with some many things. First I have to tell Mary about the twins. Second what did Oliver almost or already screwed up?
