Freyah's PoV

"Christian Joseph Daniels you better behave" I yelled to my son after watching him argue with another boy. I was seated on the park bench in watching distance of Christian. I had my Starbucks coffee next to me and a book in my lap. This was our usual Saturday for the summer if we wasn't going to the pool or somewhere else. Christian will start pre-k in the fall which was going to be a pain in my butt.

"Kids are a handful" I heard from beside me followed by a chuckle. I looked over and saw a young pregnant woman sitting on the bench. I smiled at her and nodded agreeing with her.

"Too much of a handful sometimes" I said shaking my head laughing. She smiled and turned her body to me. She looked at least five to seven months if I could guess. I honestly kind of miss being pregnant. No periods and free eating crazy without no one's opinion. The best life ever honestly.

"I'm Amara" She said smiling at me.

"I'm Freyah"

"Which one is yours" she asked looking at the bunches of kids.

"The one who trying to make a sand castle out of dirt" I said before shaking my head.

"Christian come here" I yelled to him making him run immediately to me. I wiped his hands with baby wipes and sighed. Boys.

"So adorable" She said smiling at Christian. He didn't pay her no mind and ran back to his friends.

"First child?" I asked looking at her again. She nodded with a smile.

"Yes and it is a girl I'm due in a month" she said making me shock. I thought she was due in maybe like a few months not so soon.

"Yea I know I look tiny"she said reading my mind before laughing softly. I nodded and watched Christian as he ran around chasing his friends.

Boys got to be Boys I guess.

As long as he was having fun.

"Is He your only one" she asked making me turn back to her and nod.

"Yes ma'am and will be for a while" I said smiling as I watched my angel play.

"Same I told my boyfriend that and he blew up on me saying he wants a football team" she said rolling her eyes. I laughed at that and stood up. It was 3:30 pm now and Christian needed food in his system.

"Tell your boyfriend that he is crazy. It was nice to meet you I need to go and get some lunch" I said calling Chris over. I picked him up and kissed his cheek.

"Okay oh here" she said giving me her number.

"Let's meet up sometime" she continued before waving at Christian and walking away. I looked at my baby boy to see him watching her leave. Kissing his forehead, I walked to the car.

"Did you have fun baby boy" I said as I buckled him in his car seat.

"Yes mommy"he said smiling as he watched my fingers. I smiled and kissed his cheek before going around and getting in the drivers seat. I leaned over and gave him his toy that he left in the car and started driving.

I wish Ryan could see how great Christian was. I wish he would pay attention to us and not just his job. I sighed and stopped at a red light. Glancing at Chris in the back from my mirror I smiled as he played with his iron man toy.

My baby boy.

I drove when the light turned green and turned into the parking lot of our favorite spot to eat at. Parking the car, I yawned a little and got Christian out with his toy in his hand.

"Mommy I want nuggets" He said looking up at me as we walked.

"Of course baby boy but next time say please"

"Plwase"

"Please"

"Please" He said finally getting it. I smiled and ruffed his hair before going inside with him in my arms.

"Welcome to May Bay Diner please seat yourself and enjoy your time here" A  young lady said. She must be new if she didn't know me. I smiled at her and walked to the booth Christian and I have always sat in.

"Baby what do you want to drink?" I asked Christian  asking his cute little face frown up as he was thinking. I almost laughed but didn't.

"Apple juice!" He yelled making people turn toward us. I smiled mumbling a sorry before shushing Chris. The waitress came over and asked us what we wanted.

"One cheese burger no pickles no onions but add mushrooms on with a small mint chocolate chip milkshake also can we have the four piece chicken nuggets with a small apple juice" I said adding a Please at the end. She smiled and nodded writing it all down.

"Freyah!! I missed you" I heard beside me. I laughed turning to my best friend Aurora. She was the owner of the diner but I only come in here on the weekends.

"Aurora you crazy bitch" I laughed and hugged her. She pulled away and pinched Chris cheeks. She was his god mother and the best one ever. She loves spoiling him that's for sure.

"Hi C baby" She said highfiving him making him laugh. I smiled and watched them.

"Frey Frey you want to come over tonight to sleep over I have my nephew over tonight and tomorrow. My sister and brother are coming over and I want you to meet them" She said smiling at me. I nodded and hugged her. I met her my freshmen year of high school when she was going to leave that year.

We met at a party and she was my protector for the whole year. She was bad girl of the school too but definitely was not one to mess up her grades and dreams. She made everyone know not to mess with me and no one did even when she left. I always hanged with her gang of friends and I was cool for high school. Ryan was part of her group too.

We didn't see each other in college but when I first came in here about my third year of college we met back up and stayed friends for life. That was a year ago. We were partners in crime and everyone who knew me, knew her and vise versa.

"Of course love" I said smiling at her. She cheered and hurried the cooks up with our food making me laugh. I never met her brother only her sister Evangeline who was the same age as me.

All I know is her brother name was Luka and was older than me. I heard stories of him being a careless child and was the biggest play boy around here. I never seen him before though.

"Come back here in two hours boo" She said before placing our food in front of us. I thanked her and started eating helping Chris as well.
