Nena's POV

"Bye mom, I'll see you later!" I say as I hop out of the car, grabbing my bag.

"Have fun. I love you!" I roll my eyes and walk up the driveway to Kasey's house. Ever since Chase went off to college in Colorado, and my little brothers went with my dad for the school year in California, my mom has changed. She goes out almost every night with her new 'boyfriend' and goes to bars and gets drunk, then I have to get her ass in bed. It's like I'm the mom and she's the kid. I still have nightmares from the night at the party, I'm scared to even let men touch me. Along with all the shit that has happened over the past three months, I relapsed and my self-harm got really bad. I got sent to the hospital at the beginning of August because I nearly died. It's gotten out of control, but I can't stop. It's an addiction. Kasey is really disappointed, but she supports me when I'm going through a rough time and I'm so thankful for that.

I open the door and say hello to her mom and sister before running up the stairs. Tonight is the night of our concert and I think my heart stopped beating last week.

"Kasey! Today is the day!" I scream when I open her door. She is on her bed with her laptop in her lap when she motions for me to come over. I drop my bag on the floor and jump on the bed beside her.

"Look. Read this, One Direction just posted this on Instagram. It says "Tonight the boys will be performing in Tampa, Florida. But during the concert, they have a special feature for tonght and only tonight. One lucky fan will get the chance to go up on stage while the boys sing 'Little Things' and sit with them. This is a chance of a lifetime. The winner will picked randomly out of all the people who bought tickets. If you are picked, you will be notified when you walk in the gate. See you tonight!" Can you believe that?"

"It's like Justin Bieber." I laugh, laying down on my stomach. "Like when he picks the 'One Less Lonely Girl'" I crunch my fingers on the word 'One' because it's never one. There was one at every concert. But what the boys are doing at my concert is different because it is only for tonight. I doubt I'll get picked, but I can't help but have a little shred of hope.

"Well, concert starts in three and a half hours! Let's go eat then get ready." We rush down the stairs and sit at the island in her kitchen. Her mom prepared fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. It looks and smells delicious. We serve ourselves and then take our seats back at the island, quickly eating our food, anxious to start getting ready for our concert.

"Oh my god, I'm so full." Kasey says, dropping her plate in the sink.

"Me too." My eyes scan Kasey. I'm so jealous of her because she can eat all the food she wants but she never seems to gain a single pound. Me on the other hand, I eat and gain fifty pounds each meal. She has always been the thinner one, ever since we were younger. I have always had a little more fat than I should, but I've never been obese. I would like to lose a few pounds though. "I feel like I gained a hundred pounds over the summer. Maybe I should start going to the gym..." Kasey rolls her eyes and we run upstairs.

After I come out of the shower, she is getting dressed into her concert outfit. We went shopping and picked out outfits just for tonight. Kasey is wearing a tank top that say's 'Cool Kids Don't Dance' like the one Zayn has, with ripped jeans and red vans. I got a crop top that says 'lol ur not harry styles', paired with high-waisted distressed shorts and black combat boots. Once we are both dressed, Kasey starts working on curling her hair while I do my make-up. I don't usually wear a lot of make-up, so I only put on the basics with a cool thick winged eyeliner.

Soon, it is time to leave as her mom shouts our names from the bottom of the stairs. We grab our phones and the envelope with the tickets inside and run down the stairs nearly knocking over her mom.
