The One Week Beginning

Run Forrest run

After our misfit of cracking up we decide to go on a run! Kiera is on the track team too, so we both have to train for when we get back! " Kiera you ready?" I ask while tying my shoe laces

"Yep!" She responds

I meet her at the front door, but quickly remember I don't have my phone with me just in case.

" Eh minor details minor details! Let's just go! " Kiera shouts after me as she races out the door of our room.

I quickly catch up to her and we get into a steady pace.

This place is soo huge though! We run over a bridge to the main pool that is surrounded with ping pong, volleyball, and even a DJ! Of course, some people are just getting in since we got here early, so it wasn't so hard to get around people! We head toward the lobby hoping to catch a glimpse of Ryan around!

" hey look it's you Kiera" I laugh as I point out an older guy coming out of the Lobby. She gives me a straight face, so I do the same. Then we both stop laughing until we finally bust out laughing again! We get closer to the larger bridge bringing us out of the resort when Kiera says

" umm my mom told me to stay on the resort, so I'm gonna head back." As she starts to turn around.

" oh ok! I probably won't go that far maybe half a mile or so."

She nods and I take off on the side of the gate on the sidewalk! I check my watch to see I'm going a solid 7:30 pace pretty good for having chickfila

And IHOP on the way up here! Suddenly I hear someone yell " Run Forrest Run!" Behind me and I quickly turn around. And then bam there stands a brown-haired boy with greenish eyes running behind me! He looks about my age and before I know it he is running right beside me!

It was silent for a couple moments until luckily he said "Hiya!" And gave me a wide toothy grin.

I blushed a little bit and said "Hey!"

And another moment of

Silence and then I said " hey were you the one that just screamed to me?"

He chuckled a little before he said " oh ya that was me."

I laughed a little too because my dad used to always yell that to me at my races! I didn't even realize I was zoning out until I heard a little snicker beside me! I looked up totally forgetting he was there and blushed a little bit.

"You're cute when you blush" he said which just made me blush even more

" oh ya but I'm sure the ton of sweat is a little bit of a turn off!" He just laughed as I saw we had picked up the pace to a 7:15 mile pace.!

I guess he saw me looking down at my watch because he said "wow your pretty fast for a girl!"

"Hey what do you mean a girl!?"

" pssh nothing, nothing at all." He said which made us both laugh at the same time! I was totally losing track of the time when I realized I had gone an extra mile than what I had said! What can I say when you're running with a cute guy time flies by!

" uhh I kinda have to turn around now. My resorts about a mile away." I said sadly knowing he would probably have to keep going

" oh uh that's ok. What resort are you at?" He asks

I totally forgot so I answered " umm something like palm sp"

But he cut me off quickly looking pretty excited if you ask me " you must mean Palm Springs! That's where I'm at for the next week or so."

" No way! Same here I'm on my spring break."

Yass a cute boy at my resort and Ryan I'm starting to think my dad booked this place as an early birthday present!

" Really we will have to hang out. Here how about I give you my number. Do you have your phone?"

Gosh dang it! The one time I leave it I'm telling ya.

" ohh no I left it in the room, sorry."

"It's all good I'm sure I'll see you around maybe tomorrow I'll see you running again." He says and winks! Well I'm definitely going on a run now!

He starts to run again as I make my way back to the resort.

Quickly I turn around, just close enough so he can hear me and scream " Run Forrest run! "
