The One Week Beginning

Disney is not just for kids

I start to jog back to the resort room when my phones starts to buzz again. Expecting it to be my mom I quickly accept it,
" I know mom, I'm coming!" I say.
I hear a laugh at the other end and look at the contact.
"Oops sorry Kiera. Haha I thought you were my mom." I say
" That's always great to hear." She teases
" You know what I mean..." I tell her
" Ya ya I know. Anyways I was just letting you that I probably won't be back when you get back, I'm going to lunch with Ryan." She says and I can hear the excitement in her voice. Hopefully her relationship with Ryan is a little less confusing than Tyler and mines.
" Ohh have fun! Remember to keep things PG." I tell her as she gasps through the phone.
" Camryn!" She exclaims as I start cracking up.
" Ok ok well you better get going you wouldn't want to be late now would you?" I say
" I'm going I'm going. Don't think I don't know who you were just with though. I want to hear everything later. Ok bye! She says as she hangs up and I roll my eyes. My mom can never keep her mouth closed for a couple minutes can she. Finally I reach my room and go to take a nice warm shower.

" Sugar yes please! Won't you come and put it down on me." I sing as the hot water rushes down my back. Suddenly, my music stops and my phone starts buzzing. I look to see the name. Tyler 😍🔥 pops up. Wow, wonder who put that contact name in. I quickly answer it turning off the shower.
" Hello?" I ask
"Hey!" I hear him say back.
" Wats up?" I ask trying to dry my hair in the process.
" Well, my friends and I are going to downtown Disney this afternoon and I was wondering if you would like to come?" He asks
" Hold up. I thought you didn't like Disney? " I ask surprisingly.
"Haha i don't, but Sam definitely does. I'm actually surprised he choose skylar over Minnie." He says making me laugh
" Oh if I go can I bring my friend Kiera too?" I ask totally forgetting that if she didn't come she would be stuck with my family and that was not happening anytime soon!
"Ya sure. " he says, but I can hear a little disappointment in his voice because it won't just be him and I.
"She might be bringing her..." I stop as I hear someone smack up my door.
"Oh my gosh Camryn I have so much to tell you. " she says as she starts to laugh and falls on the bed. I point at my phone and she finally realizes that I'm talking to someone.
" Ohh is that the hot guy we were with yesterday?" She asks and I smack my head
"Yes it is. Thank you Kiera." I say and it's almost like I can see his smirk through the phone.
" She is definitely invited." I hear him say proudly
" Excuse me. And she will definitely be bringing her date too."I huff as he chuckles at my jealously
" So this is a date then?" He asks and I realize what I just hinted at.
" Pssh what would make you think that?" I say trying to play it out like I never said anything.
"Uhmm don't pretend like I didn't hear you." He says and I can't help but smile. In the corner of my eye I see Kiera watching intently drawing a heart out with her fingers. I just roll my eyes before turning back to the conversation.
" Ok, what time?" I ask
"How's around 2:00?" He asks and I turn around to see the clock; 12:45. I would sure have to hurry up, but I can manage especially with Kiera next to me. I look at Kiera for approval and she just gives me a thumbs up, still in her own world.
"Ya that works for me! See ya then Tyler." I say excitedly
"Alrighty see ya then Camryn!" I smile as I hear my name come out of his mouth and end the call.
"AHHHH!" Both Kiera and I yell as we start to tell each other what has happened over the past morning. In short, Kiera and Ryan clicked easily. He works at the resort on the weekends and goes to a nearby high school where he plays baseball, of course how unexpected. He's single and on his spring break too, so I'm sure I'll be seeing him around with Kiera a lot. Kiera already called him and he's available, so now all that is left is getting ready; that's the hardest part of it all.
" Are you gonna wear a dress or shorts?" Kiera shouts from the bathroom
" Probably my black ripped high-waisted jeans and a crop top." I say as I jump up and down into my new shorts.
" Ok. Can I borrow your tank top?" she asks and I toss it to her. I look at the clock and it is already 1:30!
"Kiera what are you doing with your hair?! Mine is so frizzy!" I exclaim trying to brush through all the tangles.
" Probably keeping it down. Keep yours down too it looks good!" She says genuinely.
"Fine." I say and start to put on the finishing touch; my mascara.
1:45.
"Kiera, we have got to go!" I say turning around to open the door.
"Wait hold on I just have to find my necklace." She says searching for it on the desk.
"Have fun with that! I can barely see our floor with all the stuff on it!" I tell her until I hear a sigh of relief as she finally finds it. We rush out the door into the elevator. Lucky for us we step in an elevator with three younger boys. They just stare at us and start to whisper to each other. One even winks at Kiera and waves. I look at Kiera and the moment the elevator opens we run outside and crack up.
"Oh my gosh. They were like five years younger than us. I'm dying." I laugh as I almost fall to the ground.
"Then the one guy winked at me." Kiera says as tears start to stream down her cheeks. I fall to the ground in laughter when I hear feet walking toward us clapping.
"Wow you guys put on quite a show." I hear a familiar voice say. I look up to see Tyler and can't help, but continue to laugh. He helps me up and asks me what happened.
" Well let's just say these three fifth graders thought we were pretty hot stuff." I say in between breaths.
Kiera gets up and continues
"One even winked at me. Like who does he think he is." She teases as she spots Ryan in the distance. She runs to meet him as I turn to Tyler and his friends. My cheeks heat up as I realize there are other people there. Tyler quickly catches on and introduces me.
"Camryn this is Sam and Skylar. Guys, this is Camryn." He says as I shake both of their hands. Sam is very tall, but wow is he muscular. Skylar has brown hair like mine, but has blonde highlights and blue eyes. I can definitely see the connection between the two. They are holding hands and Skylar is just the perfect height for him. Kiera walks toward us as she introduces herself and Ryan to the group.
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Tyler asks as he makes the way to a red Ford truck. A truck has always been my dream car, especially one like this. Tyler opens the passenger door for me as the others get into their own cars.
"You didn't tell me you had a truck!" I gasp still taking it all in.
"You never asked." He laughs as he starts the car.
"True. Gosh I want a truck so bad, but my parents think I'll wreck it. I'm not exactly the best driver.." I say remembering my failed drivers test.
"Cmon you can't be that bad." He asks, but my serious look tells him I'm not joking.
"I ran into a mailbox during my drivers test." I say with a straight face
"Pssh that's not that bad." He says, but it gets better.
"That's just the beginning! After that I tried to back up, but crashed into a fountain. The advisor told me to stop, but I was not going to stop, so I just drove through the lawn. Guess whose lawn that was?" I asked with an amused smile.
"No." He says with a look of disbelief that made me laugh.
"Yep the advisors." I say finishing my story. He cracks up next to me and before I know it I'm laughing with him too.
"I stand corrected. That's pretty bad Cam." He says and I grin at his little nickname for me.
" I know I know I'm working on it though." I tell him. It was true I was taking drivers ed again and my dad was helping me be more focused.
"I could help you ya know?" He tells me as he steals a glance of me at a stop light.
"Oh ya. How much better are you buddy?" I ask raising an eyebrow.
"Well I have been driving for about three years now, so I think I have some experience." He says proudly as he makes a sharp turn.
"Wait how old are you anyway?" I ask out loud
"I just turned 18 a couple weeks ago actually!" He says.
"Oh an older guy. I don't know if my parents would approve." I say looking out the window. He starts to look worried and his eyes look down for a second.
"I'm kidding Tyler! As long as you are not an ax murderer or going to rape me I think they will like you." I say laughing while imagining my mom. She probably invite him to stay forever if she could. Anyway for me to get a boyfriend.
"Wooh that's a relief. Wouldn't want to have to sneak in now would I?" He says raising his eyebrow.
"Hey look we're here." He says as he points out the window to a huge planet with a sign that reads "planet Hollywood" on it.
"Oh my gosh I'm so excited!" I squeal.
We head up to the second level of the parking garage and head down to the Main Street.
"I'm taking you have never been here before?" He asks me as he takes my hand, which brings a shiver up my back.
"Actually I have thank you very much, but not in like seven years!" I say as we meet up with the rest of the gang.
"Where to guys?" Sam asks with Skylar attached to his hip.
"Hmm how about something to eat I'm starving!" Kiera exclaims throwing up her arms making me laugh.
"I agree!" I say fist pumping Kiera.
" There's a rainforest cafe here I think. I love that place!" Skylar says looking up to Sam.
"Oh my gosh yes pleaseeee!" I say excitedly. I love rainforest cafe; I used to go there when I was younger and I loved when the room started to get dark and thunder.
"Fine fine, but there might be a wait." Tyler says looking at everyone for approval
"Whatever I just want some food." I say and walk toward the volcano looking restaurant in the distance.

"It's a 45 minute wait." Tyler says as he walks back from the check in desk. My smile turns down a little, but I just go with it.
"Pssh that's fine. There's a lot of stores around anyway. Let's go until they call us." I say taking his hand and pulling him to Goofys candy store.
Laughing we look around the store at all the candy apples and homemade fudge.
"Aww look at that it's a Minnie Mouse Caramel Apple." I say pointing at it through the glass.
"You are such a girl." He says laughing at me. I simply slap him in the shoulder and head out of the store.
"How long has it been?" I say tugging at his hand
"It's only been ten minutes Cam be patient." He teases me.
"How about the christmas store?"
"It's not even Easter yet though." Tyler says as we both enter the store
"Ya ya minor details."
As I'm looking around I hear a crash near the ornaments
and quickly turn around.
Tyler's face goes red and I start cracking up.
He takes my hand and runs out before the cashier notices. As I'm trying to catch my breath from laughing so much Kiera runs up to us and tells us they called our name.
"Let's go!" She says going back to Ryan's side.
We head into the rainforest themed cafe and to a circle table right next to the aquarium.
"Wooh." I say tapping on the glass to get the big fishs attention.
Our waitress finally comes and lucky me it's a pretty 17 year old girl with beach blonde hair.
"Hi how may I help you guys?" She says looking directly at Tyler wow what a...
"I'll start." I say, but she still doesn't take her eyes off Tyler's.
I have to cough just to get her out of her trance. Tyler seems totally oblivious to the whole situation. After what seems like forever we finally get our food. The waitress seems to be coming over to "check up on us" too often if you ask me, but my turkey club distracts me from it. After we are done , she brings each of us a bill, but Tyler butts in.
"Oh actually I'm buying hers too." He says and points as me making me smirk at her. Her smile goes away in realization and disappointingly she gives him the bill. As we walk out he takes my hand and I thank him.
"No problem it wasn't even that much." He says shrugging his shoulders
"Ya but the expression on our stinkin waitress's face was priceless." I say grinning from ear to ear
"Wait what do you mean?" He says turning toward me.
"She was totally checking you out and I was right there like what the heck!"
"Aww is someone a Wittle jealous?" He says pinching my cheeks
"Pssh what? I wouldn't say jealous." I look toward the ground at our shadows.
"Oh my gosh." Tyler's squeals beside me.
" what?" I ask looking up.
"Look. They sell the Mickey Mouse icecreams here!" He points at a nearby icecream stand.
"What's a Mickey Mouse ice cream?" I ask. His head swings toward me and he looks me dead in ther eyes.
"You've never had a Mickey Mouse shaped ice cream, but you've been to Disney. Are you crazy?!" He asks me dead serious.
"I'm sorry I've just never had it." I say putting up my hands innocently.
Suddenly he sprints toward the store and the rest of us follow. By the time I get there he has a Mickey Mouse shaped icecream in his hand and is unwrapping it.
"Here try some." He says and practically shoves it in my face making me laugh.
"Ok ok." I say taking a bite of the big ear.
"Oh my gosh this is so good!" I say as I take another bite and another!
"Hold up girl I want a bite!" He says and takes a bite of the other ear. Before we know it we are at the last bite and as we both go in for it, it drops onto the hot pavement. At first we both look at each other sadly and then we start cracking up. Randomly, My phone starts to buzz and I quickly look at it. It was a text from my mom telling me to get home early because we are going to Tampa bay early in the morning.
"Hey is there any way you can take Kiera and I home? I didn't realize I would need to be back early." I ask Tyler who's still laughing over the melted ice-cream.
"Ya sure anything for you Cam" he says winking at me while I just roll my eyes and call Kiera over. She ends up going with Ryan and I Hop back into Tyler's truck after saying my goodbyes to Skylar and Sam.
"So what are you doing tomorrow?" He asks me keeping his eyes on the road.
"I think we are going to a baseball game in Tampa bay." I say looking at the window, but his eyes widen.
"What?" I ask
"Nothing. I mean nothing that sounds cool. I think it's the opening day too!" He says going back to his normal self.
"Huh who knew!" I say laughing a little bit as we turn into the resort.
"Well here we are." He says giving me a puppy dog face.
I quickly jump into seat and give him a kiss on the cheek leaving him completely stunned. Mission accomplished.
"Ok well then goodbye then." I say as he sits still shocked and I walk away satisfied.
