The One Week Beginning

Water war

I continue running til I reach the front gate Of the resort. I quickly show my resort pass to the security guard and can't fight back the smile as I think of him. Oh snap of course I didn't even ask for his name.. Nice going Camryn! I snap out of my own world when someone runs into me.

" Hey watch where you're..." I start saying before I realize it's Kiera.

" Wow Camryns a bully!" She jokes and we both start laughing.

" Give me your lunch money!" I say sarcastically which makes Kiera roll her eyes and jokingly punch my in the shoulder. But let me tell you her punches hurt!

"Ouch!" I say while jumping up, but I guess Kiera could tell something was up because I still couldn't fight that huge grin on my face.

" Why are you smiling so much? Ohhh did you see Ryan again?" She asks wiggling her eyebrows! Hmm I totally forgot about Ryan ever since I went for my run.

" pssh nothing!" I say not making eye contact or else I'll crack up.

"Suree... But guess what??" She asks excitedly

" Paul liked your photo again??" I say with a smirk. Paul is a junior at my high school who one day just randomly started liking Kiera's Instagram photos.

" I wish! But no they have a starbucks here on the resort!!" She says and starts jumping down like a typical white girl!

" No way! What are we waiting for?" I say and take off as fast as I can.

" Do you have a towel?" My mom asks as Kiera and I are walking out the door to the resort pool

" Yep!" I say quickly trying to leave before she asks me another question.

" Did you put on sunscreen?" She asks

" Yes mom! We are leaving now!" I say

" Wait did you remember..." She says and I cut her off

" Yep, I remembered my phone too!" Saying already knowing what she is going to ask.

I finally walk out the door while Kiera is just next to me laughing. I just keep walking ahead of her until she finally catches up.

" Uhh where is the pool anyway?" I ask realizing I have no idea where I'm going.

" I have no idea!" She says laughing

" Eh minor details; minor details." I say in between laughs.

Finally after about a half hour of searching and 20 phone calls from my mom we reach the pool!

" Kiera you got the volleyball right?" I say gesturing to her beach bag.

" Uhh I think so let me check." She says and looks down to her bag. We are right by the edge of the pool so I push her in! I can't stop laughing at her reaction! She looked like someone just took away her starbucks.

" You are going to regret that Camryn!" She says and jumps out of the pool to chase me around. I almost trip over a couple people and I'm pretty sure I spilled someone's drink all over them, but I was not getting pushed into the pool! I see the kiddie zone and automatically run into the ankle deep water. I hide behind the kids as Kiera runs toward me. Suddenly a girl behind me says

" Hi, I'm Katrina. Do you want to play with me?" She looks at me with bright blue eyes! I love kids and she was giving me the cute puppy dog face.

"Sure sweetie. I'm Camryn and this is Kiera." I say and a big smile lights up on her face.
