I was walking through the dark cold forest. The only sound that could be heard was the wind blowing through the leaves on the trees. I shuddered when a cold wind blew past me. I really wanted to warm myself up right now, but it would give me away to them. I ignored the cold air and kept walking. Some branches cracked under my feet as I walked over them. The sound of an owl made its way through the air and to my ears. I stopped and looked over my shoulder back in the direction of my home. I let out a sigh and continued walking. I already knew things wouldn't go back to normal after the incident but I never thought it would go this far. The sound of my footsteps filled the air around me and the cold air made me shutter from time to time. I spotted a cave not too far away from where I currently was. I slowly walked closer to the cave hoping it wasn't a home to a bear or something. It looked empty, but that was my second mistake. A large bear roared and charged at me. I ran as fast as my legs could run and eventually escaped the bear. I stopped to catch my breath and then continued walking. The moonlight made its way through the tree crowns and shone on me. It gave me a relieved feeling, like if I wasn't alone, like if someone was there to protect me. I smiled a little, it was a nice feeling after what had happened not so long ago. Their shouts echoed in my head and I started to tear up. It had been an accident but they still blamed me for it. They probably don't even care that I left, did they even realize that I was gone? Probably not. Why would they even care? I made a mistake that almost cost innocent lives, even his life. I would never have forgiven myself if I killed him. It was better if I ran away. I can't hurt anyone out here. At least no one else than myself. Maybe that is the best option. To hide out here and then take suicide. there would be no one that would miss me, so why not. I have nothing left for me to do or live for. My friends hate me and my sensei too. I'm only a danger for the people around me. I found a small lake in the forest and decided to take a break. I sat down by a fallen tree and hugged my knees. I stared at the reflection of the moon in the lake. The moon had always seemed to calm me down, I never knew why though. It just seemed calming. I felt my eyes get heavier and laid down on the ground. It wouldn't hurt with a little sleep, would it? I was about to drift off to sleep when the sound of cracking branches was heard through the forest. I hid behind the fallen tree and listened for the voices of the people. "He has to be here somewhere." "Why are we even looking for him, my feet hurt." "Jay, stop complaining and continue looking for him." "Well sorry." I almost chuckled at the sarcasm in Jay's voice. "Don't get sarcastic with me mister." Jay giggled, "And what are you going to do about it." Jay's voice sounded sassy and I could almost picture him doing a sassy pose to go with it. "I'll force you to bunjy jump from the bounty once we get back." "O-Okay! I will stop complaining." "Good." "Can you two stop complaining, he's going to hear us from miles away if you continue blabbering." "Sorry, but I still don't get why he ran away. I mean, yes we shouted at him because of what happened but that's not a reason to run away." "Are you really that stupid Jay. He ran away because he thinks he's a danger to all of us. We have to find him and convince him that he's not." But I am. I'm a danger and they should know that. I slowly sat up and then made myself ready to run. I heard footsteps come closer to where I was and saw Jay's face for only a second before making a run for it. "Guys I found him!" I heard Jay shout after me. The wind smashed at my face as I ran. I got a few scratches from some branches but nothing serious. I heard fainted shouts from the others as I ran. I looked over my shoulder and saw them running after me. Then I heard the word that made my heart stop for a second, "CLIFF!!" But it was too late, I felt the ground under my feet dissapear and then I fell. The air was smashing against me and I looked to see the guys stand on the edge of the cliff and look down at me. Then the hit came and everything went black.
