The team had managed to drag Phantom back to the mountain using the zeta tubes, thankfully the zeta tubes were only about five minutes away from the attraction. Batman and the rest of the mentors got to the mountain as soon as they could after hearing about what happened. They were all worried about the other teens but Phantom was the only one anyone needed to worry about.

He hadn't tried to get back to the attraction like the team though he would, instead he paced as he mumbled to himself. None of them could make out what he was saying, he'd say some words in other languages and some sounded weird. It sounded like a bunch of words that were mixed together or something, they didn't even know how to describe it.

The Leaguers were currently watching him pace as he mumbled something like 'he shouldn't be here' and 'how is he still here'. Robin would swear on his life that a weird black aura surrounded him for a split second several times. Batman was the brave soul that finally spoke, "Why are you acting like this Phantom?"

Phantom immediately turned his attention to Batman, "Are you seriously asking me that, Springtrap is back!" He went back to pacing, "He shouldn't be back, I chased him into that fucking thing myself, I saw it. That place was boarded up, he should still be there, what idiot thought it was a good idea to let him out?"

Batman watched the teen for another few seconds before he spoke, "You're not making any sense Phantom."

Phantom glared at him, Robin thought Phantom's eyes had been completely black for a second, the only parts that weren't were a white dot in each eye. "This whole fucking thing doesn't make sense but none of you know anything about this whole damn mess!"

Batman glared at Phantom, "You're getting too worked up over this, I'm benching you for the rest of the mission."

Phantom growled the same way he did when he fought Springtrap and he punched the wall next to him. There was a very loud snapping sound and some of the rock crumbled to the floor, Phantom's hand was bleeding from hitting the wall. "This is my fucking case Batman, I'm going back whether you want me to or not but if you try to stop me then you won't see me again when I'm done."

Batman stared straight at Phantom, "You're lying."

"Do you really want to test me, I'm not backing down from this, after all of the shit that happened I'm not giving up now."

Batman actually felt a bit intimidated by the look Phantom was giving him but he had to stand his ground. "You're not going back, this doesn't have anything to do with you."

Phantom somehow got even angrier and several of the lights actually exploded and the rest flickered for several seconds. "This has everything to do with me!"

Most of the heroes backed up and Robin looked incredibly concerned, why was Phantom so angry? Robin spoke after a few seconds, "Phantom, what's going on, why are you so angry?"

Phantom seemed to pause for a second before all of his anger seemed to disappear, the heroes were all stunned by the sudden shift in his mood. Phantom took a few seconds to breathe, no one spoke for a bit before Batman finally broke the silence. "If you insist on going then you'll go with the team, but they have to know where you are at all times, is that clear?"

Phantom glared at him a little, "As long as you don't get in my way I don't care." Phantom walked out of the room and no one tried to stop him, they didn't want to see what he might do if they did.

Aqualad eventually looked at Batman, "Do you know what Phantom might have been talking about?"

Batman shook his head slightly, "He obviously knows something the rest of us don't, but the question is what he's not telling us."

Robin stared at where Phantom left, he was worried, he wanted to help Phantom but he didn't even know what was wrong. Robin eventually snuck away from the other heroes without them seeing and he went to find Phantom. Meanwhile, the halfa went straight to his room as he thought, how could Springtrap still be there?

It was a wonder how he was even alive, well, maybe not alive but he was still kicking, literally. They all thought he was gone, Phantom chased him into that suit himself, he saw him bleed out, he knew he did. Then Phantom's eyes widened, maybe Springtrap was like him, not exactly like him but close enough.

Phantom hadn't died in his suit, he nearly did but he survived, but he hadn't been able to move in his suit. When he was connected to it he couldn't move, technically he was still connected to it but that didn't matter as much as it used to. But he hadn't been able to move at first, even his real body couldn't move, but he managed to after a while.

His suit didn't have an endoskeleton when he was put in it so he had nothing to help him move. Springtrap didn't either but his body was still in there, maybe the way they moved their suits was similar. Oh god, he was like him and the others, he was trapped there just like them, and the others were trapped with their murderer.

Phantom started to freak out when there was a knock on his door, when he stood up his legs were shaking and he had to sit down again. His exhaustion was catching up with him, add that to his little show not that long ago and he couldn't do much of anything at the moment. Phantom took a deep breath before he tried using his powers to at least unlock the door.

He managed to do it but that took the last bit of power he had, he was officially drained, he was useless at the moment. He heard someone open the door before they closed it again and they sat next to him, he could tell from their presence alone that it was Robin. Robin gave him a worried look, "Phantom, what's going on, what's wrong?"

Phantom shook his head, "It's messed up and complicated, I wouldn't even know how to begin telling you even if I wanted to."

Robin's frown deepened, "Is it because you don't trust me, or do you think I can't understand?"

Phantom mentally sighed, "Don't start with that, you know that's not why."

"I don't even know what's going on, I don't know why your angry or how your involved in all of this."

Phantom gritted his teeth but he forced himself to stay calm and he spoke, "You don't want to know."

"Don't tell me what I do and don't want, I want to know why you won't just talk to me, you haven't even looked at me this whole time."

"Just stop."

"Not until you tell me what's going on."

"Seriously, stop, or I swear to god I'll make you."

Robin glared at him a little, "No, I'm not going to stop until you tell me."

Phantom started shaking with anger and he grabbed the front of Robin's shirt and pulled him closer before kissing him. He could never hurt Robin, if there was one thing he knew it was that he could never hurt Robin, for any reason. Phantom felt his anger leave immediately, his anger was replaced with fear and loneliness, and his love for Robin.

Robin was surprised when Phantom kissed him but he still kissed back, something was very wrong, he could tell just by looking at Phantom. Phantom was shaking, Robin wasn't sure what the exact cause was but he had a few ideas as to what it was. After a bit they both pulled away and Robin saw that Phantom was crying, his heart broke when he saw that.

He wiped Phantom's tears away and Phantom took a deep breath before he spoke, "Don't make me talk about it. I can't, I just can't, god why did all of this have to happen, why is he still here, why can't we just move on?"

Robin's heart broke even more, he didn't know what Phantom was talking about but he didn't care. He'd rather never know then see Phantom like this, to make Phantom feel like this, he never wanted him to feel like this. Robin hugged Phantom before making his boyfriend lay on the bed next to him, he wouldn't leave him, he refused.

Robin kissed his forehead, "You don't have to tell me, but you don't have to deal with this on your own, I'm here, I'm not leaving you."

Phantom's eyes widened and little before he hung onto Robin like a lifeline, he was so damn scared. He cried until he fell asleep, he was too exhausted to keep his eyes open, he knew he'd have nightmares. That was how his life seemed to work, as soon as something good happened his life suddenly became horrible again.
