The heroes were finally back at the mountain, Batman and their mentors, including Black Canary, were there to see what happened this time. Phantom didn't say a word, the team told their mentors everything about what happened, including the strange kids and what they called Phantom.
None of the Leaguers knew what to think, even Batman couldn't come up with any answers to what might be going on. Batman eventually turned to the silent teen, "Phantom." Phantom only hummed to show that he was listening, "You need to explain what's going on, now."
Phantom looked at him, "And what makes you think I can?"
Batman eyes narrowed at him, "Yesterday you said this had everything to do with you, you even knew the name of the animatronic at the attraction. Now you're talking to three strange kids that somehow snuck in that you seem to know and apparently your eyes even changed. You also shouted that you knew who 'he' was and he knew who you were, you know something about what's going on."
Phantom looked a bit irritated, "Then let me rephrase, why the hell should I tell you anything?"
Black Canary spoke, "Phantom, this situation is serious, we can stop all of this if you just tell us what's going on."
Phantom glared at her, "You can't stop any of this, you can't stop that damn monster, you don't even know what he is!"
Flash spoke, "It's just a robot."
"He isn't just a robot, that's the entire fucking point!"
Green Arrow spoke, "But what about those kids, they shouldn't have been there."
Phantom forced himself to calm down, he was getting too angry, "They had more of a reason to be there then anyone else."
Superman spoke, "How do you know them?"
"That's none of your damn business."
Aquaman spoke, "How are you involved in this?"
"You don't need to know."
Martian Manhunter spoke, "Why did you get so angry when you saw Springtrap?"
"I've got my reasons."
Batman glared at him, "We're not playing games Phantom, how do you know so much about Springtrap? Who is 'he', how are you involved, and why do you think Springtrap isn't just a robot?"
Phantom got angry again, they kept treating him like he didn't know what he was talking about. He was sick of it, after everything, all the pain, all the fear, everything, this involved him, and he knew more then they ever would. His eyes changed and the black aura appeared, "Because he's like me!"
All of the heroes saw very brief flashes of something gold and words before they stopped just as suddenly as they started. They all saw Phantom's eyes and the strange black aura and they all took a step back, several of them were actually scared. Phantom forced himself to calm down, the black aura was gone but his eyes were still black with white dots.
"You think you know everything, you think you know exactly what's going on but you don't know anything. Springtrap isn't a fucking robot, he's a corpse, a damn zombie that keeps fucking with my life every chance he gets."
Batman managed to talk, "And how is he like you?"
Phantom got angry just thinking about it but he managed to control it, he had to control it, he couldn't lose control. Phantom started walking out of the room but he stopped, "Four."
Batman looked at him, "What?"
"There were only four kids that went missing, the fifth survived." Phantom walked out of the room and no one tried to follow him, they were all confused, a few of them were still a little scared. Phantom walked to his room and closed the door once he was inside, god how could he say all of that?
They'd probably be able to figure out what was going on now, they'd know that he was the fifth child. Phantom felt like hitting his head against the wall but he was too tired, he seemed to be getting progressively tired each night. Even if he hadn't fought Springtrap the last two nights he'd be more tired then he was the first night.
Phantom changed his jacket and laid down on his bed as he thought, this was turning into a huge mess. After he saw Springtrap he lost it, he hadn't thought that he was still so mad about the whole thing. Then again who wouldn't be mad when seeing the person that killed your friends and made life hell?
Phantom buried his face in his pillow and groaned, he hated him, he really did, and he wanted to stop him right that second. The only reason he didn't was because he still had to save the last child, then he could figure out what to do with Springtrap. He just wasn't sure what would happen if he came face to face with Springtrap again, and what would the others do?
All of them, him included, were overcome with rage when they saw him, the kids were okay this time but still. Their spirits got attached to the suits because of what happened, because of their anger and fear. Phantom was just more powerful then all of them, being trapped in a suit you can't move can really mess with you.
Sure he found a way to get around that but it still affected him pretty badly, it even gave him a power he probably wouldn't have had otherwise. Phantom rolled onto his side and closed his eyes, he just wanted to sleep, he didn't want to keep thinking about this. After he fell asleep he kept having nightmares and he hated it, even in his sleep he couldn't escape the memories.
He was in the spring lock suit, he couldn't move no matter how hard he tried and he knew he would die soon. But he was saved, the Marionette appeared in front of him and he managed to look at them. He later found out the Marionette was possessed by a girl, he didn't know where she was now though.
She thought he was dead too, she made the same mistake he did, which is why she was surprised when he looked at her. Danny managed to talk, "There's a bracelet on my right wrist, get it off."
His voice was raspy and quiet, he wasn't surprised that it was so damaged after almost dying and getting put in a suit. The Marionette looked confused but she still managed to take off the bracelet, as soon as she did he phased out of the suit. He ended up on the floor on his back and he could feel the blood pouring out of his wounds, he might still die.
As he blacked out he saw the other four kids, his last conscious thought was that he had to be seeing things, there was no way they were there. He could still feel everything that was going on around him, he could still hear everything around him too. He just couldn't move, he couldn't even open his eyes, it was like he was in a coma but he was still aware of what was going on.
He struggled to move, yelling into his own mind to move, to open his eyes, to do something other then just lay there. At first he was angry, then he felt hopeless, then he got frustrated, but that stopped when he gained a new power. He could open his eyes, he could move, but something was off, it was like something was missing.
He was in the main party room, he knew where his suit was and he was compelled to go to it, so he did. He went through the walls and went straight to the small closed off room and when he did he was shocked. His body was still there, on the floor, lying motionless like he had been for several days, was he finally dead?
He reached out and checked his own pulse, it was still there, so he wasn't dead, but how the hell was he here and there at the same time? He decided to leave the room and he continued thinking, he eventually passed a small mirror and he stopped. He saw something out of the corner of his eye that made him stop in his tracks and he went back to the mirror.
The thing in the mirror wasn't him, it looked like a shadow with two white dots for eyes. He moved his left hand, the shadow did the same, he leaned forward, so did the shadow, the shadow was him. It was like his soul left his body or something and now it looked like this, that was the only way he could explain it.
That fact alone terrified him, he might be able to move now but he would rather not move then be able to do this. What was he now, was he still a halfa, a full ghost, something else entirely, what the hell was he?
