Her uniform
***************
Weeks have past, and Jamie has become quite comfortable in the maid's household. Having become good friends with many of the servants and maids, she had grown close to many. She had also met Taylor and her posse. Wasn't the best of encounters for her.
"So, you're the new girl huh?"
"Yeah....?"
"Good, then I can explain the rules when it comes to Colten."
"You mean "the young master"."
"No, I'm the only one that can call him by his name, since he obviously likes me."
"Ok, that's not how it works but okay."
"Alright, first rule: Don't go anywhere near him. Second rule: Don't talk to him without my permission--"
"Isn't it without his permission?"
"No, you can't talk to him without my permission. Third and final rule: He's mine, so don't even think about making a move on him. Do all that and we'll get along just fine."
"Ok sure, whatever floats your boat."
She sighed as she dusted a picture in the hallway, near the grand library at the end of one of the halls, her blue uniform hugging her curves. Everybody said the library was grand, she having never been inside. She looked at the large doors, curiosity overtaking her. She walked towards the doors, running her finger over the smoothed wood. Her finger stopped at the golden door handle, her hand curling around it. She looked behind her, seeing if anyone was there before turning the handle. She slipped into the library, the door clicking behind her. Her eyes went wide as she took in the rows and rows of books lining both the back wall and sides. Books even lined around the doors. She walked towards a wall, plucking a book from the shelves. All the while, her voice turned into song.
She grew up on a side of the road
Where the church bells ring and strong love grows
She grew up good
She grew up slow
Like American honeySteady as a preacher
Free as a weed
Couldn't wait to get goin'
But wasn't quite ready to leave
So innocent, pure and sweet
American honeyThere's a wild, wild whisper
Blowin' in the wind
Callin' out my name like a long lost friend
Oh I miss those days as the years go by
Oh nothing's sweeter than summertime
And American honeyGet caught in the race
Of this crazy life
Tryin' to be everything can make you lose your mind
I just wanna go back in time---She froze, her voice silencing as a deep chuckled echoed through the large room. She turned her head towards a large desk she hadn't noticed, seeing the silhouette of a man standing from behind it. He walked around the desk, leaning against it.
"Even after all these years, your voice is still the most beautiful I've ever heard." A deep voice spoke huskily.
She paled as realization dawned on her. She swiftly bowed.
"I-I-I'm so sorry young master! I d-didn't realize you were in here! P-Please pardon me, I-I will leave you be!"
She swiftly placed the book onto the shelf before rushing towards the door. Her hand grabbed the handle, pulling on the door. Suddenly, the door shut with a large bang. She looked up, her eyes widening as they laid on the large hand holding the door closed. She returned her eyes to the oak, swallowing as another hand came to rest on the other side.
"Y-Young master----"
"Do you not remember me Jamie? Even after we shared our first kiss?" He whispered into her ear, making a pleasant chill run through her.
She stiffened. Her hair flared around her as she whirled around, her eyes widening.
"No....it can't be."
"Still in denial?" He chuckled, leaning towards her. "I guess I'll just have to repeat history a bit."
She paled further as he continued to close the space between them.
"Close your eyes." He whispered huskily.
She gulped before complying. She tensed as she felt a weight on her lips.
"....!?"
A small sound was made as their lips parted. She fluttered open her eyes, staring in disbelief at the young man before her.
"Thank you...." He said. "For the dance."
"......Jackson?"
