"Tiana, would you like to have a taste of this cake? I'm sure it's delicious! Look, it have a beautiful toppings too!" Said a beautiful blonde girl to a black-haired girl beside her in the mall with excitement.
"Nope, didn't you know that I don't like sweet things? Especially a cake like that." Tiana shot her with a motionless look before putting her attention back to her phone.
"Oh come on Tiana, today's your birthday! Can't you be a little happier? No matter what, after I give you this cake, you have to finish it!" The blonde's mood dampened a bit as she glared at her as if she was trying to bore a hole on her body.
'Who's the real birthday girl in here? She's even more excited about it than me.' Tiana massaged her head as she replied with a 'hmm'. Not really caring about that flashy cake as her friend paid a piece for her and continued to drag her across the mall for a shopping spree untill evening.
When she gets back to her apartment, she directly lied on her bed, reading a book on her phone. After contemplating for a while, she took a plastic bag with the cake in it and decided to eat it. No matter how horrible her friend's judgement on picking goods, she can't just let the cake to be wasted right? After consoling herself, with a face full of determination, she ate the cake in a big bite, not daring to taste it.
After she ate the cake, she quickly drank a cup of water to wash down the strange flavors from her mouth and continued to read on her phone.
Suddenly in the middle of reading, Tiana felt nauseous and suffocated. She were caught off guard and tried to call for help from the balcony. But she can feel the strength leaving her body and everything became black.

.... In her mind she heard a few faint voices... talking...?
'Robert, no matter what you have to save this child. She is innocent! A woman's voice reverberated with a begging tone.
'I know, but your life's also in danger right now! Can't you see that the baby is no longer breathing?!" Replied a man with a voice full of grief and sadness.
Tiana can't hear the next content of their conversation because of how low their voices were.
Tiana was a bit puzzled when she heard this.
'What is this? A dream?'
She tried to open her eyes but failed. Her eyes was simply too heavy to be lifted right now for her. After a few times, she gave up and succumbed to drowsiness.

When she opened her eyes, she was greeted with a white room.
"Waa~?" 'What happened to my voice? It feels so damn stiff...' Tiana thought.
"Hey, look! The baby is conscious now!" said a nurse who just went inside the room with a fluent japanese language.
"Is that true!? Let me take a look." replied a man who seemed to be in his 30.
The man rushed inside the room to check on Tiana and sighed in relief.
"Thank god, the baby is safe.... If the baby is gone, I don't know how to face Robert anymore."
'Robert? Isn't that the voice in my head earlier? Also what is this thing about a baby... Wait, is he talking about me?!' Tiana's thought were in a turmoil so she can't hear some part of their conversation.
In the middle of her confusion she got a good grasp on her situation.
".... So we have to give her to the orphanage, huh." the nurse muttered softly.
"We can't do anything. If Robert took her with him she'll be in danger so he can't." the doctor said with a matter-of-fact tone.
"Then can I adopt her? I have been yearning for a child to take care of as you know. At least I can prevent one child from living a life like that." Asked the nurse with a pair shining eyes to the doctor.
"You can. But you have to allow her to roam freely. You know what her parents' personality right, they're both like adventures the most." the doctor smiled wryly.
"You're right." the nurse agreed with a helpless smile on her face.

That night.
After thinking it through and thorough, Tiana's mind has finally calmed down. She already accepted her situation by now. Her conclusion after some brainstorming is:
1. She died because of a piece of cake that her friend gave her.
2. Maybe god pitied her because she died on her birthday or maybe her death was too pathetic and decided to give her a second chance as a reciprocal gift.
3. There is a chance of her being reincarnated to a world wich she knew of in her previous life so it's better to be careful now than being sorry later.
Tiana sighed inwardly at her situation. It was indeed easy to be excited when you know that you have a chance to live in another world, especially for someone like her, who had experienced death once. But what'll happen if she accidentally revealed her real identity as a reincarnator/transmigrator in this world? She can't imagine the consequences anymore.
'What should I do from now on? I can't pretend to be a genius because it can't hold on for long and it'll drew some malicious and suspicious thoughts upon myself. Then should I just pretend to be a mob? Being a main character is way too flashy, it'll drew attention, I can't do that.....' her line of thoughts continued till she drop asleep. ( ‾́ ‾́ )
When she opened her eyes again, her surrounding has changed. It's no longer a white room wich she slept in before but a deep blue colored one with some pale pink pattern on the down side of the wall.
'Quite good, not too feminine and boyish.' Tiana remarked inwardly.
She had thrown all of her ideas about how to act and decided to go on with her own whims. It's too tiring to act like someone else but she'll try to make some friends later as to not make the nurse worried later.
"Tiana good morning~ do you like your new room?" The nurse asked her with a soft smile when she walked in and seen her awake though she knew the baby can't answer her.
Tiana smiled like what a baby would do and reached out her hand towards the nurse. The nurse squealed when she see this.
"Aaw, so cute.... From now on, no matter what, I'll protect my daughter from any bad guys. See if I don't kick them on their ass." Tiana sweatdropped at her proclamation, but also unconsciously warmed up a bit at her words.
'Seems like I've got a super protective mother this time around' (￣.￣;)
