Chapter 04

My alarm clock rang and I turned it off. Naunahan ko na naman ang alarm ko, nope actually di ako nakatulog dahil sa nangyari kahapon.

Parang di ko yata kayang pumasok ngayong araw. Parang di ko kayang harapin si Connor ngayon dahil for sure iiyak ako pag nakita ko siya.

Aaaahhhhhhh ayoko na T^T di na talaga ako papasok.

"Artemis anak! Di ka ba papasok? Malalate ka na" sigaw ni Mama mula sa kusina

"Hindi na po Ma! May sakit po ako"

"Ano?! Anong sakit mo anak dalhin na ba kita sa ospital?"

"Sakit po ng puso ko Ma" pagsusumbong ko kay Mama

"Okay lang nak~ ilabas mo lang yan. Don't worry ako na ang mag-iinform sa school mo na hindi ka makakapasok. Kung ano man yan nak tandaan mo lagi na andito lang sila Mama at Papa, I love you nak "

"Thank you Ma~ I love you too!"

Ansarap talaga sa feeling ng nakakapaglabas ka ng sama ng loob mo sa parents mo. Best feeling ever~

Kate's POV

Di ko pa nakikita si Artemis ngayong araw, nang tanungin ko naman mga classmates niya absent pala siya pareho pa sila ni Connor.

Hmmmmm siguro nagdate yung dalawa

Sabi ng mga matatanda Aral muna bago Lande, pero baliktad ata pagkaka-intindi dun ni Artemis -_-

Connor's POV

I was really guilty about what happened to me and Artemis yesterday.

She was so kind at me yet I repay her kindness with rudeness. I shouldn't have drank that day if I weren't drunk that time this should've not happened.

I must apologize to Artemis, I can ask Kate to help me I think?

I decided to go to my cousin's house after their classes so I could ask for her help.

"Hey couz'!" I gladly greeted Kate.

"What brings you here Kuya?" she asked

"Uhm wala naman~ Just paying you a visit?"

"Weh? Wag naman ako! May kailangan ka noh?"

"Uhmm" I'm hesitatin' right now but I must do this

"I need your help!"

"For what?"

"I raised my voice on Artemis yesterday and I--"

"What?! Sinigawan mo ang bestfriend ko?" she furiously replied and she looks like she's going to punch me anytime. Geez~ Girls are so scary T^T

"That's why I'm here, may I ask you to help me apologize to her?"

"Hmmmm" she looks hesitant

"Oh come on! Help me please?!"

"Ok! In one condition..."

"Whatever it is I'll accept it"

"Hmmmm"

......

God! What have I done? Now, I'm obliged to take care of our company which I don't want to do.

But anyways just for Artemis I'll do everything

Artemis's POV

Siguro naman enough na yung isang buong araw na pag-iinarte, kaya papasok na ako ngayong araw kase andami kong mamimiss-out na lessons pag umabsent ulit ako.

Ang hirap pa naman maghabol, lalo na sa mga taong di ka naman gusto.

Nang marating ko ang aking upuan ay may nakita akong nakapatong sa Desk ko. May message kaya binasa ko

'Sorry'

Mukhang alam ko na kung kanino to galing. Di na uli ako magpapadala sa mga ka-sweetang ginagawa niya. The 'Marupok na Artemis' is gone. Perooo spaghetti yung laman eh T^T favorite ko kaya yun!

Ang ending kinain ko rin, sherep keye!

"Masarap ba?" nagulat ako kay Connor

"Hindi!" pagtatanggi ko

"Hindi daw, halos maubos mo na nga eh!"

"Marunong lang talaga akong mag-appreciate ng efforts!" pagpaparinig ko

"Sorry na~ look, I was drunk that time and I didn't mean all those harsh words I said"

"Okay" I emotionlessly said.

"If you can't really forgive me easily it's okay, I understand you. I'll wait for your forgiveness, Artemis"

I can see the sincerity in his eyes and it was begging me to forgive him but what if it wasn't real?

In this world nowadays, almost all things can be faked, the feelings, relationship and etcetera. The only person you can trust now is yourself because only you can know that you're being real or not.

There's a part of me that wants to forgive him because I saw his sincerity, but still there is this part me that warns me and keeps on telling me not to listen to his words because I might get hurt again.

I promised myself not to get hurt again because of him, and I will always keep that promise to myself.
