Hey, so I wasn't going to write today but I decided I probably should. I am just gonna jump right in.

I was on the bus this morning (as per usual) usually I board the bus with my friend Gillian but she wasn't at the bus stop today, which is unusual she is always there before me. I got on the bus and say Jamie (my friend) sitting by herself which is always odd because she usually sits by Audrey who sits by her until Gillian gets on the bus.

I didn't ask questions until Jamie looks like she was about to cry or at the very least upset. So I asked her what's wrong. And here's what she told me:

(First some background, Gillian and Audrey have been dating for the past month or so. But the thing is that they're both girls and not everyone approves which is stupid because it Is 2018 guys, although we do live in a very accepting society here in California people are still human and humans are judgmental creatures although I don't really care about same sex relationships like you do you, not everyone has the same opinion)

Anyway back to the point. Jamie told me what this kid name Clayton said to them.

On Friday, Before Gillian got off the bus her and Audrey kissed which is like whatever. (Side note: Gillian gets off the bus on the stop before Audrey and Jamie)
Clayton on the rest of the trip home was calling Audrey these horrible names and said these really horrible things. And it didn't stop until Audrey walked into her house.

The thing about Audrey is that she has struggled with depression and anxiety. And on top of that he parents are being horrible to her. In fact last school year she missed the last 2 months of school because she tried to kill herself. She had to stay in the hospital for a few days and then her parents sent her to a rehabilitation center just because they didn't want to deal with her. You know what? Some people shouldn't be parents. They sent her out of the city, which was probably the last thing she needed. It's horrible.

When Clayton said those things to her she took it to heart and it sparked up her depression again. Jamie had to stay with her all weekend to make sure she was going to be ok. Gillian had to stay with her today to comfort her.

I really hate people. What gives someone the permission to be so awful to another person? Why can't people just accept other people for who they are?

Sincerely yours,
Kaitlyn
