The Adventure

After walking for a while I had realized how long this trip will take. After about half a day I barely made any kind of distance from the camp to my current location. As it was starting to get dark I decided to set up camp between a couple of trees that were very close to one another. I walk around near my amateur camp looking for some firewood to use as fuel and some rocks to make a border around the fire so it wouldn't spread to any nearby flammable objects. After enough gathering, I head back and start to set up my fire. I set stones in a circle stacked on top of each other to make it cover the firewood a bit so the wind won't blow it out so easily. I then set the firewood in the inside of the stone age. I then just sit there for a few minutes. '

How do I set it on fire? I don't have any matches or some type of lighter.'

I sigh and think about it for a while and just give up on the idea of making a fire. I decided to make a makeshift bed next by patting the floor looking for a soft area on the ground. After a while, I find a good size and mark it for now. I then go look for a lot of leaves to use as a somewhat blanket underneath me. Once I do that I grab my backpack setting it where a pillow would be and take off my jacket laying it over me like a blanket. I lay down looking up into the air and sigh.

'I miss what I had now'

I smile softly and then sleep.

I slowly wake up feeling like something is watching me. I pretend to stay asleep to see what the thing would do. I hear the push in front of me where I'm looking shifting here and there as if something was inside it trying to be sneaky when they're trying to catch something but end up giving themselves away. I open my eyes slightly to see what is in front of me without letting it know that I am awake. The bush shakes a bit after seeing a slim leg slowly come out of it followed by another one. The shoe they had on seem to be something that anyone would have from one of the common stores in my world. It was just a plain brown shoe but it seemed to had been made for someone with a small foot.

'Maybe a girl? Pfft please that only happens in those cliche books'

The person walks closer and closer slowly looking in my general direction. They stop once they were in front of me and moved their gaze away from me. I gulp softly as they slowly move away over me to where the failure of a campfire is at.

"Why did they stop? They could've lit this up so easily.."

I hear a soft gentle whisper behind me from the person that was stalking me. I was surprised by the tone of voice the person had.

'It is a girl!? What the hell is this cliche scenario!'

The person then walks back in front of me and kneels down. I see their hand go towards my head than under my head. They grab my back and tug on it softly trying not to 'wake me up'. They pulled it halfway and said "yes!" In a normal voice on accident trying to whisper. I open my eyes and look at the person; they lock their eyes on mine and froze. She is wearing this white and gray armor with black hair and light brown eyes. She became stiff as we just stare at each other for a few minutes. After a while, she tries to take the bag a bit more still looking at me.

"What the hell! Why are you still trying to take it?!"

She falls backward turning a bit pink from me yelling at her.

"I-I'm taking that bag! I want it!"

I put on my jacket and bag quickly.

"This is my bag! If you want to steal it then I'll have to fight you! I don't care if you're a girl you don't steal things!"

She turns red which seem to come from pleasure like she had liked something that just happened.

"O-ok! Then come and hit me nice and hard!!"

I stop to relisten to what the hell she just had said inside of my head.

"C-come I'm ready! Don't hold back!"

She gets up barely defending herself with a weak stance for fighting.

I didn't want to deal with this situation anymore so I turn around slowly and walk away.

'Nope.'

"Hey don't ignore me!!"

She runs towards me grabbing onto me. I turn and hit her on instinct from past experiences. She falls on the ground with a happy expression while panting.

'Ok no I literally will not survive with this person'

I try leaving again but was being slowed down with something holding onto my leg from behind. I look slowly and see the girl again.

"D-don't leave me!"

I think about what to do so she'll stop following me. I couldn't think of any and sigh

"Fine you can come, but don't act so creepy ok!"

She nods softly and gets up.

"The name is Lexi, Lexi Maso! Take care of me!"

I sigh

"Ya no problem and the name is-"

I think if I should use my actual name or a new one; I decided that I would use a new one since I am technically a new person.

"My name is David, David Shingui."

We smile and I walk back the way I was originally going to.

"Um Lexi, why did you want to join me?"

"I don't know I just wanted too"

"What kind of reason is that! You shouldn't randomly join people! Especially one that you were trying to rob and got hurt because of that!"

"Ya so?"

I sigh giving up on this person. I wonder if this is truly how Lexi is. I just hope it won't cause me any kind of trouble in the long run.

"Hey, David? I have a question for you."

"Hm, what's up?"

"Why didn't you make a fire? You could've used your magic and it'll be done just like that."

I freeze as she continues to walk like a little innocent person.

"W-what do you mean Lexi?"

"What do you mean what do I mean. Why didn't use fire magic for your camp?"

I completely froze hearing those lines repeat in my head over and over again.

'There's magi.? Like actual magic?'

I became so hyped up on the inside knowing that there is magic inside of this world. I catch up back to Lexi thinking of an excuse why.

"The reason why was because I didn't need one in the end because I realized that if I made a fire I would catch the attention of nearby monsters making me defenseless when I'm asleep."

Lexi thinks for a long time about it and then smiles after turning a bit pink.

"No, next time when we set up a camp we're making a fire."

"Whhhaaaat! Why!"

"Because you were totally thinking about something you shouldn't have."

She whines for the rest of the time of us walking towards our next destination.
