Adjustment and Understanding of The New World

After a while, Lexi and I walk out of the forest and into the plains. I look around to see that the land was flat with a few smooth lumps grass hills here and there across the plains. I then see a road made of stone and gravel with a bit of marble heading towards somewhere.

"Hey, Lexi do you know which way heads towards to the nearest populated area?"

"Ya, it's this way! Over here is a village before getting to the capital!"

"Ok thanks let's go"

She nods following me from behind as we walk down the path towards the village. As we're walking I started to think about magic again and wondered how it worked. I didn't want to ask Lexi because of how she talked about it I noticed that magic is a very common thing inside of this world so it must be weird for someone not to know about it. I kept on thinking of ways to use magic like how those people in books and shows would usually do when they used magic for the first time. I tried all kinds of things without Lexi seeing so she wouldn't think something is wrong with me. I then slash the air in front of me softly with two of my fingers with my right hand as my last idea. A hud popped up in front of me.

"Woah!"

"What happened?! Finally decided to finish what you had star-"

I cover her face with my hand to shut her up."No, I didn't and it's nothing don't worry about it" She pants a bit from me shoving myself onto her. I move my hand and look at the hud that appeared. It looked like something you would see in an RPG game. The top left showed a circle with 8 main different kinds of attributes split up inside of it. They were Strength, Constitution, Defense, Dexterity, Intelligence, Charisma, Wisdom, Willpower, Perception, and Luck. The top right was my name with the level to the right of it and my race underneath it. The race was blanked.

'What? Why blanked? Oh well, I'll find out later.'

Underneath my race it said; Skills, then Magic, and then Ability. Each had different kinds of descriptions when clicked on them to see if I had any of the three. Skills said things learned over time experience or learned. Magic said the creation through mana and being able to picture or imagine something. The last thing is Ability which is gain through time that is based on your lowest stat. Magic and skill capacity said endless while ability said ? which in my guess is that it is in the single digit section. I then find a search icon which I press on. It turns into this camera like a feature you would see on a phone. When I walk over a rock it quickly scanned it giving details about it and a rank. 

'Oh so this is like an informer thing, that's neat'

I then see two more icons, one looked like an inventory icon and the other a small person. I clicked the inventory first which made a screen with a lot of boxes pop up like in RPGs, I grab my back with my bag inside of it and put it against the screen. The backpack disappeared into the screen in on of the slots. 

'Yes! This will be very handful. Now, what was that other icon?'

I go back to the main screen and click it. It showed one name which said Rico Towers. I was confused a bit and clicked on it. It showed a little menu that showed his name, message or call icons and a dot next to the name which seems to be like an online-offline feature. I didn't bother to check who or what it was so I close out of everything and look up. Before I knew it we were in the village.

"When did we get here!?"

"We just got here"

Lexi says still next to me looking around the place not noticing what I was doing the whole time.

"Let's go to the inn David! It's getting late out and I'll pay!"

"Ya sure, why not, lead the way."

She takes me to the inn and we walk to the front desk. A lady in a uniform waits for the next customer.

"Room for two! One morning and two nights!"

"Ok, that'll be one silver coin and two copper coins please."

Lexi grabs the coins out of her pocket giving it to the lady.

"Thank you and here's the key. Room all the way to the end of the hallway to the right have a nice stay!"

We nod and walks up the stairs by the counter towards to room.

'Wait. She just got one room for two... What the hell is she planning???'

We get to the room and go inside. I go to the bed near the door of the room and lay down sighing.

"Ah, I comfy bed! It's been so long, my old friend.."

I close my eyes resting for a bit.

"Night Lexi."

"Night David!"

I turn off the lights going to sleep. After a few minutes, I feel something get on my bed and wrap around my arm and leg. I turn on the lights and look to my right to see Lexi holding onto me tightly sleeping. 

"What are you doing!?" I sit up quickly trying to get her off me I accidentally throw her off.

"O-oh ya do that some more~ I don't mind on the bed or not!"

"Ya ha ha ha no"

I look around the room and find some rope. I grab her and throw her onto her bed.

"Oh, David~ Yes I've been waiting~"

"STOP IT"

I tie her up to the head and feet of the bed. The ropes around her wrists to the top and around the ankles to the bottom. I had more left over so I wrapped some around her body in a way I saw before that if they moved the rope would get tighter all around them. She pants heavily squirming a bit making some small fog come out of her mouth while being beat red.

"I didn't know you were into this David~ I don't mind I'll do whatever yo-" I put a cloth in her mouth and turn off the lights going back to sleep.

'Peace and quiet at last'

I smile as I sleep inside the soft warm sheets and comfy bed while Lexi is in the other bed 'Enjoying' herself to her ways.
