The Bandit Hideout

As Lexi scavages through the different kinds of quests, I feel myself weakening mentally and physically. I try opening my menu to look at my stats like hp and mp. I look between the attribute circle and where my name, race, and my level is at to see my Hp with a green bar and my Mp with a blue bar. My max Hp was at 1380 and max Mp was at 150. As I look at both bars it starts to adjust to my current condition. My hp bar drains quickly turning from green to orange than a red stopping at 87hp. 

My mp also depleted rapidly stopping at 20 while still going down while regenerating; the same thing happening to my hp bar. I decided to hide the fact that I am extremely damaged from the fight to still be able to go on the quest.

"Hey, David I found us a quest! It's an extermination quest; all we have to do is attack this bandit hideout near the next town before the capital!"

"Ok let's take it."

Lexi grabs the bandit quest and went to the counter saying we'll be accepting the quest so to notify the next guild in the next town. After they do that Lexi comes over to me by the guild door and says,

"Alright, we're in the clear! Let's go!"

"Alright, let's head out."

We left through the opposite side of the town that we had come in through walking on the road to the next town. As we walk I focus on my health and magical power making sure they don't go any lower. Right now my body seems to still be taking damage and bring drained of both hp and mp, so as my body is trying to recover both my body and my mental state gradually weaken. After a few hours of walking on the path from the previous town to the next town, we can finally see the town in the distance with the forest nearby. The forest a bit to the right of the town from the perspective we have on the road heading towards it. There was a separate road made that was leading to it for people who wanted or needed to grow through it.

"Let's go to the forest first David, that way once we get to the town's guild and turn in the quest we can take the rest of the day!"

"Ok, let's go to the bandits. Stay on guard ok?"

"Yup!"

We get to the intersection of the road taking the path towards the forest. The path stops at the entrance of the forest with a natural path in its place. We look at the quests information about the bandit's hideout location following its directions. After a few minutes, we hear people chatting with the smell of fire in the air which seemed to be coming from a campfire. As we get closer we see their hideout.

'How can this be considered a hideout? Isn't right in the open for people to see? This makes me question why they weren't able to take care of these guys any sooner.'

I examine the surroundings seeing a total of 15 bandits. Three of them were near the campfire, two at a wagon that was covered so it was hard to tell what could be inside of it, seven are just spread out around the area and the remaining three were either on a boulder or on a branch in a tree. My guess those are the scouts to make sure that no one gets to close to their hideout. I look at my HP and MP to see how they were doing and see that my HP is 379 and my MP is at 23. I whispered to Lexi saying,

"Hey Lexi, what's the plan?"

She looks around the campsite thinking about what to do.

"I'll take care of the scouts and if im lucky two of the people wandering around the area nearest to us. Can I count on you to charge in and attack while they're off guard from the attack?"

"Ya, I'll rush them once I see you attack."

"Ok lets do this!"

Lexi goes up in a tree higher than the scouts putting out her hand chanting quietly aiming at the scouts. I wait as she gets ready to cast her spell.

"Multi-Fire Blast!" 

Three different kinds of shapes of fire came out of Lexi's hand swiftly piercing through the air hitting each of the scouts piercing their chests. I charge instantly once I heard her scream the spell clenching my thumbs making my blades slide down to the palm of my hands as I get closer. I aim for the campfire but two of the wanders see me rushing towards me. I keep running hearing Lexi release another spell at the tell stopping them from getting close to me. All the bandits scurry to their weapons and positions. 

The people at the campfire tripped over themselves trying to quickly get up to and to go grab their weapons near them. I lunge forward slash at the closest one slash their throat. The other two grabbed their weapons and go for an attack. I dodge as much as I can trying to keep the low amount of HP I have already. One thrusts a spear at me while the other hacks and slashes a two-handed sword trying to get a single hit on me. 

The spear was too dangerous because they can get me from afar so I go after them first. They thrust the spear at me; I dodge at the last second get scratched a bit and then going for an attack. I cross the daggers over the spear like an X and push it down. I jump up as much as I can launching a fierce kick to the side of his skull knocking him off of is feet slamming onto the floor. I quickly move back feeling the bloodlust from the bandit. 

When he misses he slashes the sword into the other bandit that was on the floor killing them. He gets aggravated due to it and starts swinging crazily at me with no skill in each swing. He swings the sword straightforward at me; I stop it by using the daggers together making another X underneath of the sword holding it up. He puts all his weight into it hoping the daggers would break or I'll get weaken from the strength. As he puts all of his weight I made the daggers overlap each other like a sliding them on the side of the sword from bottom to top as the bandit falls down from all the power he put in his attack making him unbalanced. As the daggers scrape the side of the sword from bottom to top I slash with both daggers at once with on cutting his chest and the other on his throat. Eight down and seven more to go!
