The Valleson Department Store in Carriedo was one of the attractions of Quiapo for its big, wide and well-lighted window display in front. All pedestrians passing by stopped to watch the three beautifulmanikins on display there. Many would end up entering the store to buy household needs and food.
Hugging the limelight was the beautiful nightclub singer Angela. Her tight-fitting dress served to called attention to her sexybody.She held the microphoneso feelingly as she sang her love song. One could almost hear her melodious voice.
Beside her stood the student Dina. She wore the uniform with long sleeves of the convent school run by nuns. Carrying her books she stood straight ready to walk to her classroom. Looking ahead her face shone with hope for a bright future.
