Best Friends Until Forever Ends

Chapter Four: Wild Heart

Hail couldn't believe it. Her best friends in the history of forever were here. They had traveled hundreds of miles to pick her up and whisk her away to a journey forever. She pinched her skin lightly just to double check.

"WE HAVE PRESENTS!"Peter announced, pulling roughly twenty bags from the trunk.

"Aww, Meatloaf you didn't have to do that."Hail smiled.

"Meatloaf."Peter said, chuckling."Of all he nicknames, I get meatloaf."

"Because you are a bucket of meatloaf."Hail sassed."Gotta a problem with that?"

"THATS MY SASS BUDDY RIGHT THERE?"Luke said, tossing on his sunglasses.

Then he started lip synching "Wild Heart" by the Vamps.

"He's the same as always."Lacey said, laughing."Donny is over at the hotel, he kinda threw up on the plane. . .on Lukey."

"Poor Lukey."Hail told, biting back a laugh."So, what's the whole plan? Like my parents know you guys are taking me and all that chiz, but I haven't packed or anything."

"LETS GET PACKING THEN!"Lacey shouted, following Hail to her room.

Hail's room was the bomb. It was a light brown color with posters on every wall. There was a huge tv and a twin size bed on the side. There was a mega large dresser and huge loud speakers.

"This is awesome."Lacey said, walking around in awe.

"Thanks babe."Hail said, bringing her suitcase. "I've got one suitcase full of my art supplies, one full of music CDs, and of course one for close."

"OML, Peter and Luke wouldn't leave me alone about how I had one suitcase full of CDs."Lacey said, sitting on the bed."But they brought three suitcases full of hair supplies."

"Hair supplies?"Hail said, laughing.

"Combs, brushes, gels,"Lacey laughed."So that's why we have roughly twelve suitcases. Even if we are only here for a day."

"Y'all are the bomb."Hail smiled."So, where exactly are we going?"

"Well,"Lacey said, sighing."First we are going to my house in Pennsylvania. Then, after two days, we are going to Florida, from there we go to California, and then Europe."

"Did you win the lottery?"She asked, astonished.

"I made a piggy bank called 'The Hail and Lacey Fund',"Lacey chuckled."I've been saving."

"That's awesome."She said, smiling."Imma' gonna' turn on da' radio."

"YASS GIRL. I APPROVE."Lacey smiled.

Hail blasted music at full volume.

"YOURE INSCURE!"She yelled, throwing open her suitcase.

"DONT KNOW WHAT FOR!"Lacey laughed.

"YOURE TURNING HEADS WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE DO-O-O-OR!"Hail sang, pretty dang awesomely.

"DONT NEED MAKEUP!"Lacey danced.

"TO COVER UP!"Hail added.

"BEING THE WAY THAT YOU ARE IS ENO-O-O-OUGH!"Lacey started the dance like an awkward penguin on steroids.

"EVERYONE ELSE IN THE ROOM CAN SEE IT, EVERYONE ELSE BUT YOU-U-U!"Hail danced radically.

"BABY YOU LIGHT UP MY WORLD LIKE NOBODY ELSE!"They said together, pretending to have microphones."THE WAY THAT YOU FLIP YOUR HAIR GETS ME OVERWHELMED AND THE WAY YOU SMILE AT THE GROUND IT AINT HARD TO TELLLLLLLLL! YOU DONT KNOW YOUR BEAUTIFUL!"

Hail and Lacey sang and fell onto the bed laughing. This was perfect to Lacey. The laughing, the music, everything just fit. And then she saw it. A little blade, hidden well but easy to find. Lacey carefully picked it up.

"Is this. . ."She looked at Hail.

Hail looked down. "Um yeah."

They were self harm blades. Lacey looked at the little blade and wondered how something so little could do so much damage. She looked at Hail and then the blade, careful not to cut herself.

The window next to Lacey was open, and she was willing to do it. Hail would be mad, but this would be better. With all her force, she threw the blade out the open window and yelled, "AND STAY OUT!"

Hail gaped, "Did you just. . ."

"Yes I did,"Lacey said, proudly."I'm guessing you have more and you won't tell me where they are, but let me have my moment."

Hail laughed and the world was okay again.

Before they knew it, it was time to take Hail to Pennsylvania. Hail's mom hugged her and Hail reassured her that she had brought everything she needed.

"Oh my god, will she hurry up and get in the car, I bought her a gummy bear bag and it's tempting me."Luke said, eyeing the bears.

"Luke, control."Lacey said, leaning in the car.

Donny loaded the bags as Hail moved into the car.

"I BROUGHT YOU GUMMY BEARS!"Luke said, handing the gummy bears over quickly."now don't show them to me. It pains me."

"Here's a teddy bear."Peter said, giving her a pink teddy bear."Do you. . .erm. . .like it?"

Hail hugged the teddy bear and took the gummy bears.

"THIS IS AMAZING, I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH."She said, hugging everyone.

"Hail. . .can't. . .breathe. . ."Lacey suffocated.

"SORRY, I DONT WANT TO KILL MY BEST FRIENDS."Hail laughed.

The car ride to the airport was full of laughs, enjoyment, and just plain fun. It was memories like these that made friendship worth it. So yeah, maybe they did pick up Hail and whisk her away for a journey of a lifetime, but who wouldn't?
