Taehyung looked at Jungkook who sat eagerly, talking to his friends. They had been boyfriends for two years now, but lately Taehyung had started to think about their relationship a lot. What it meant to him and such. He knew he loved Jungkook, he was kind, sweet, caring, cheeky but serious when he needed to be. They had a good relationship and at one point Taehyung had thought Jungkook would be the one, he would marry, but now he wasn't so sure.
Taehyung thought back to when they first met. He had been taken aback by Jungkook's big eyes and charming smile. They had quickly gotten to talk and soon they were together. People admired their relationship and it all felt like a dream. Of course that dream came shattering down around him, a year and seven months later, but how could he have known then.
They told each other, they loved each other after a month of being together and Taehyung knew that when he said it to Jungkook, he meant it. Jungkook knew all of his fears, hopes, dreams and sometimes that could be scary but it also gave Taehyung comfort. Taehyung often told Jungkook he loved him to show how grateful he was, and he thought Jungkook deserved to hear it a million times, and knowing that the next I love you meant more than the last. The three words had meant everything.
Taehyung gave a half smile as Jungkook put an arm around him, as he kept talking to his friends. The action made his stomach feel like ice and Taehyung let his eyes drop, to Jungkook's free hand which were holding a glass of soda. Taehyung couldn't stop the pictures which were send through his head, as Jungkook's thumb went up and down the glass. He sometimes wondered if Jungkook had touched the other like that as they were kissing.
Taehyung closed his eyes tightly and pressed into Jungkook, so he could feel his heartbeat. Jungkook had once said that his heart beated only for Taehyung. Now Taehyung didn't know what to think. He felt Jungkook squeeze his shoulder and it send a cold shiver through Taehyung's body, and he moved away from Jungkook.
His head had felt like a mess the last three months and it wasn't getting any easier. If he had to be honest, it was only getting harder. The pictures popped into his head more frequently than before and made Taehyung feel dazed. How could he do that to him? That was the question that went through Taehyung's head multiple times a day. He could still taste the sour alcohol and see the room spinning slightly as he pushed through the crowd, to find his missing boyfriend. He had been gone twenty minutes and Taehyung had been worried. As Taehyung had pushed through the last people and could see the corner of the club, it showed he had no reason to be worried. There Jungkook was, his arms around some boy and his lips busy kissing the boy. Taehyung felt like, a lightning bolt had gone through him and all of a sudden he felt strangely sober. The boy had his hands on Jungkook's neck constantly pulling him closer, and they both seemed to enjoy it. Taehyung wasn't sure what to do. His beloved boyfriend, the boyfriend he had just told thirty minutes ago how much he loved, was kissing someone else. It turned out he didn't need to do anything because a moment later Jungkook lifted his head and saw Taehyung. Jungkook frowned and looked at the boy in his arms and then back at Taehyung. His eyes had widen and he had let go off the boy right away. Taehyung snapped out of his daze and started to move back to where he came from, the music suddenly too much. He knew Jungkook was right behind him, but he didn't know what it meant. Taehyung found his way out of the club and the fresh air was nice on his face. He started to walk when someone pulled his arm, almost loosing his balance in the process. Taehyung turned to see Jungkook. He could tell by Jungkook's eyes that he was beyond a little drunk. He had slurred his words as he told Taehyung that he didn't mean to kiss the other boy. That he had gotten Taehyung and the boy mixed up. They were similar in body type and facial features. He thought it was Taehyung. Taehyung hadn't even gotten to answer before Jungkook's string of words were cut off with him turning around and puking. Taehyung put everything aside and got them a taxi to take them home. He helped Jungkook in bed and spend the night restless as the pictures kept popping up. The next morning Jungkook didn't seem to remember and Taehyung took too long, figuring out how he should start the conversation. Suddenly it was too late. Their lives moved on and from the outside it seemed like nothing was wrong, but inside Taehyung, he knew something had changed. Whenever Jungkook told Taehyung he loved him, Taehyung had a hard time getting the words out. He felt his stomach tighten up and it felt more like betrayal than love. He tried to convince himself that it would pass, everything would be fine, but it never really did.
Taehyung felt Jungkook move beside him and snapped out of his thoughts.

"Babe it's time to go home." Jungkook said his eyes loving and gentle.

"Okay." Taehyung said and mustered a smile. They said goodbye to their friends and took a taxi home to their apartment. When they came inside Jungkook pulled him in. His arms were around Taehyung and Taehyung put his on Jungkook's neck. Jungkook leaned and kissed Taehyung's lips. Taehyung pulled him in, wanting closeness.

"I love you Tae." Jungkook said when they pulled away. Taehyung's thoughts started to swim and he knew they were trying to come up with an explanation, an excuse to that night. Maybe Taehyung had been wrong, maybe it was him in Jungkook's arms that night, he could be the one not remembering correctly.
With a heart that both ached and skipped a beat, he said the three words:

"I love you."

I know this one is a bit weird but it's really up to yourself to figure out what happens in the future between them ^.^
