Once I left a sail behind
A crew on the shimmering sea
Docking, blue, docking again
Everyday, revisiting the vast ocean
The familiar sky, the familiar depths
And the new of all discovery
Day by day, a new traveler
A sad parting, a happy reunion
Let her return again
I never was alone there
Even with a monster, a friend
A face I can't remember
Or a wild beast
I was never alone
And now, like always
When I set foot back on land,
Dissipate into a silent and groggy
Fog
And how alone I am here
Blind to the boundless water
Who dearly waits for my return
I'll come back, I promise
Yet I fear the day I can't
The weeks I sailed mindlessly
And void of memory
That empty black space
The chasm between the port and the sea
Croaking as it splits
Don't let go
The world is all the land
Colorful, mysterious, and great
But the sea is even more
Don't you understand?
Once I left a sail behind
I'll have to leave it again
But I swear I'll come back
To fill the hollow in my chest
And to empty the thoughts in my head
